Hey, Mike. Your request has been answered. Blackmagic listened and gave us the option in version 19 (currently in beta) to adjust the shape of the high and low bypass filter in the EQ. Yay! Also, thanks for all the great tutorials. They're very helpful.

Helpful video thank you - your microphone sounds amazing but for someone like me who doesn't have these tools I found the new AI Voice Isolation feature absolutely incredible. I just turned this on in DaVinci and boom - amazing sounding voice and it isolates out all the background noise. When I tried to do your suggestions it ended up making the voice sound worse unfortunately, but I highly appreciate you putting it together.

I picked up the audio restoration suite from Acon, their noise reducer is very good. Personally, I'm just starting to use DaVinci Resolved, I think it's a great Pro Tools alternative. This was great, Mike. Thanks a lot for sharing

can those effects be used as a filters like OBS filters for pre-processing of the voice recording?
@MikeRussell8 ай бұрын
Yes, the effects in DaVinci Resolve can be used similarly to OBS filters for pre-processing voice recordings to enhance audio quality and sound professional.
@musolo788 ай бұрын
@@MikeRussell Thank you sir! Could you perhaps make a video about their usage for pre-processing of the voice over. There are no such tutorials on youtube to my great surprise. The control that Davinci Resolve gives in sound recording is unthinkable in OBS.

Are you planning to create some drag-and-drop presets for this in the near future?
@MikeRussellАй бұрын
I'll definitely consider adding drag-and-drop presets to my roadmap, thanks for the suggestion!

Does studio version will help me to work smoothly. As the free version is giving me some hard-time at timeline. And sometimes it just lagging like mad. My window laptop has 16 GB RAM, 6GB Graphics and Ryzen 7 processor. Will upgrading to studio is better for me?? Can I get rid from lagging issues with upgrade.??? Answer please ...all the studio owners.🤥

Upgrading to the studio version of DaVinci Resolve may improve your overall performance and reduce lagging issues, especially with your current hardware setup.

To use the Frequency Analyser in Fairlight: Navigate to the Fairlight page in DaVinci Resolve. Open the Effects Library panel. Locate the Frequency Analyser effect under the Fairlight FX section. Drag and drop the effect onto the desired audio track or clip.

Hey Mike, this may be a silly question, but, if you have Davenci, do you need a mixer like Rodecaster Pro 2? For some reason, I am thinking you don't need both. As you can tell from the question, I don't know much about audio equipment.
@MikeRussell3 ай бұрын
Davinci can handle a lot of the mixing duties, but having a dedicated mixer like the Rodecaster Pro 2 can still be super useful for more complex setups or live streams!

I can't even make a clean recording. I keep getting background noise on my peak voice levels that are not picked up by a simple sound recorder in Win11 while I magically get it on davinci or audacity.

@@MikeRussell Is there any more noise cancellation in the paid version I don't see in the free one. It makes o sense that a regular win app would do a better job by default.
