Wow. As a Chabacano speaker from Zamboanga City I must say this is on point even the accent. No cringe. I highly recommend this channel to those who want to learn Chabacano.

Hats off to the creator of this vlog. Previously, when you scour through the whole internet and youtube, there are but a few who discuss or try to teach the language in detail. So for those trying to learn the language, this is a good resource to drum up your speaking skills and speak the language straight away. Thanks for these Sir Chris.

Also, '' o'clock '' can be expressed differently as ''exacto'', ''exactamente'', or ''en punto''. Ex. 1: 00 or to say ''one o'clock'' can be : A la una A la una exacto A la una exactamente or A la una en punto

''Del aga'' in most morning radio stations use the phrase ''de la mañana'' instead of ''del aga'' as it is closer to Spanish, 'cause morning in Spanish is also ''mañana'' like for the word ''tomorrow''. To differentiate the two, we say ''la mañana'' for morning and just ''mañana'' for the word tomorrow. So, .''tomorrow morning'' can be ''mañana aga'' and also ''mañana de la mañana'' or ''mañana en la mañana'' depending on usage. Chavacano radio stations use ''la mañana'' not really to mean tomorrow morning but more of as this morning. So, 7: 00 AM can be: A las siete del aga or A las siete de la mañana/en la mañana

It's the language of one of the famous song before that got a Tagalog and Chavacano version called ''Porque'' by a band before called Maldita, though the song title should be properly spelled as ''Por que'' with a space in between. It got famous in Manila and some areas in the Philippines before. Chavacano is also the language of Enrique Gil's dance craze and song ''Mobe'' though the spelling should be ''Move'' with the pronunciation as mo-be. It is also the language of Mocha Girls' song before called ''Pacha'' or ''Pacha padelante'', though the song's meaning is not suitable for children. It is also the language of a famoud song dance craze before called ''Tira tira dulce''. Many Filipinos sung or danced with these songs and music, and they aren't just aware of the language of the song.

@@yahyamoroEspañol Criollo... Spanish Creole, it's different from Tagalog and Ilocano ✌️ so it's still based on Spanish language.

We can also use the phrase formula for telling the last minutes when telling time as '' minutes + antes de + hour time'' like ''quince minutos antes de ala una''. So, it can be the words ''de'', ''de man'', or ''man''. Like ''tres minutos antes de alas dos'', ''tres minutos antes de man alas dos'', or ''tres minutos antes man alas dos''.
@sophiestabilitronics3 жыл бұрын
similar to what my grandparents left, like "menos tres para mag alas-dos"

Hi James. Quita both in chabacano and spanish means "remove". Kita is of Illongo or bisaya origin.
@artesiningart49615 жыл бұрын
Tiene diferencia el palabra ''quita'' que querre de cir ''remove'' or ''to remove'' y el palabra ''kita'' que querre de cir ''we''.
@artesiningart49615 жыл бұрын
