Chicago is one of the most incredible cities I've come across, and watching this video has given me a deeper appreciation for it. The architecture of the houses is just stunning, reflecting both history and modern design. And the food scene? Absolutely top-notch-there's a diversity and quality that's hard to beat. Through this video, I've gained new insights into what makes Chicago such a vibrant and unique place to visit or live in.

Responding to this as a Chicago native: Fully agree that weather is best in spring and fall. Late summer or early fall if you want to visit the beach, and the beaches are lovely with clear water, shallow entry, and soft sand. Absolutely avoid driving as much as possible. Parking is expensive and difficult. Millennium Park is fun and relaxing to walk around. Absolutely check the schedule for free concerts. Kids screaming and running around is generally tolerated in the back, and there are speakers with good sound quality in the back. Navy pier is overall an expensive, overrated tourist trap. Giordano’s is good, but so are Lou Malnati’s, Uno, and a lot of others. The river walk is lovely, but the boat tour is an absolute must! It’s fascinating and beautiful. Worth doing every few years as a native. Lincoln Park Zoo isn’t huge or great, but it’s free, though parking is expensive. Sunset on the beaches isn’t that impressive. The sun sets behind the lake. Sunrise over the lake is far more impressive, if you are willing to wake up for it. Personally, Portillo’s isn’t my favorite. There’s really aren’t great hot dog places downtown. For really good Chicago hot dogs you need to head into the neighborhoods. Home Depot actually does some of the best Chicago dogs I’ve had. The museum campus is gorgeous. The field museum is huge and you can’t enjoy all of it in a single day, let alone trying to pair it with another museum. I could easily spend 3 days in the Field museum alone. Shedd aquarium is very nice, but can be very crowded.
