Hard to disagree on the things you pointed out. If you want to be professional you need to apply this advices. Unfortunately non of of them is free so it takes some work to get there.

Brandon, Curve-ball question for you... which artist/s would you be listening to on a long drive that may surprise your viewers?
@mastermusicmarketing3 жыл бұрын
I think it would surprise people that I don’t really listen to a lot of music anymore. Mostly podcasts and people talking comics. But I did listen to a lot of DaBaby on my last road trip lol

2:59 I think a person would stand out more today making the opposite....bad music on purpose. I can spend 3k on a song in my local area, it doesn't sonically sound like Drake's mixers. That's one of the components that make it so hard on indie artist. The mixers the average artist has access too are only glide at clearing distortion from my recording. Loving the vid and looking forward to the next points. 💪

De-esser coming up. My apologies.

Also, how cruel is it that that phenomenon is called sibilance. It’s just like lisp. The people it affects would have the worst time saying those. Lol

I have to disagree with one of your points here man.Having your music mixed professionally will mean that your songs are gonna be set to the same boring Industry Standards, over compressed and no dynamics at all and to me that's not gonna make you standout, it's gonna make you sound just like everybody else.My advice to other Artists out there is just mix to the best of your ability with the equipment you have and develop your own mixing style.Music is subjective at the end of the day and I think a lot of Artists defeat themselves before they have even started by comparing their sound to everybody else's.Just make unique music, stop comparing yourselves to others and you will standout from the pack.There is no way in hell that I would ever pay somebody else to mix and master my music because I like to have my own unique stamp on it.My mixes are far from the best but I dig how I have grown over the years and my music sounds the best it can, with the equipment I have got.

I would love to sit down and debate all your video's! I don't think you are aware of how misleading your are being ! Anyone can sound smart.
