Breaking is a valid concern, but a lot of shipping processes can be put through the temp controlled trailers. When you ship a temp sensitive food item the semi truck that hauls that freight is connected to a trailer called a reefer. This is a shipping trailer specifically designed to refrigerate and store shipped food items. Cookies may not need this, but it will prevent melting cookies and the cold hardens cookies temporarily which can also prevent them from being damaged.

either one works, it depends were you are selling. A presale is when someone orders ahead so you make the cookies after they order

@@lenazizza5211 check out the cottage law in your state, if it applies you are good to go. If you are serious and have the drive, you can and will make really good money! I was shocked at how easy and how much I make at doing what I LOVE....consider getting INSURANCE though it is very reasonable and worth every penny in case someone tries to say they got sick from your baked goodies !

Not true, this is misinformation. You can sell baked goods from home in NY as long as the item does not need heat/cold regulations after production. Here is the actual cottage law in NY. agriculture.ny.gov/food-safety/home-processing

You will want to start by looking up California Cottage Laws, some states have Cottage Laws in place for at home baking and homemade goods :)
