I'm quite late, but here's my favourite mods Tracks: Drift Playground Ebisu pack (or any individual Ebisu track) 90's GDSP tracks Meihan 2020 Car packs: I can't guarantee tip top quality from all of these, but I have used them and they are good. J Side WDTS LSG Tando Buddies DWG Simply sideways GaYa street pack Basically all of these are street cars, I'm not massively into FD style cars I'll update if I think of more

@@j0hn2012 sure thing man! Go for it, if you're on a Logitech wheel also, I would reccomend going through the LUT install tutorial on racedepartment, helped with my FFB and feels awesome to drift now :)

Ok ok.. I'm looking into the drifting thing.. Tires are free in AC I hear.. (or at least I have not been billed for any extra ones.. ) Should I build my own handbrake or buy one. Which one? Nice video my friend! I'm giving the donuts and figure 8's a go this weekend in the VR motion sim. looks like a BLAST! Also, I have a high tolerance for frustration so I probably will be fine (probably .. ) DLD the World Drift cars as you had linked.. Cant wait to get home and try these out! DMAX motion simulator ch

Great video! I am at the beginning. Just got a t300rs gt and got kinda used to in a week. I played a lot of LA canyons to get a feel of multiple cars, their weight and the way they control but when I got to drifting it was amazing. So at the start I was really really bad, but after some tutorials and recommendations I tried the M1 and the e30. It was game changing. I'm still struggling to work with the wheel. I feel like it's to small and I am to aggressive with it (ordered a custom 350mm wheel, expecting it in the weeks to come). I also struggle in real situations. Sometimes I get transitions right (on the drift map) and been able to do 5laps without coming out of the drift in the middle circle on the drift map, but when it comes to LA canyons, when I'm on the road, downhill at least, it feels like I can't get the car sideways without losing all the control. Or it feels like it won't lose traction in 2nd. Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks! I imagine the drift track and LA canyons have different tarmac surfaces. LA Canyons being a lot more grippy. And, the Canyons corners are much longer. Try using a higher horse power car.

Whats the best settings for the maps? When I drift on a track with green selected I can actually control the car & drift it no problem but if I select any other option I will just spin out, lol.

I've been drifting since forza motorsport 2, and while that franchise does teach you car control and smoothness, its not as realistic so I feel like I'm learning from scratch having just purchased AC. Hi ! Are you using a camera mod ? When you're in the car, the camera follow the movement of the car. You can see throught the lateral window.

Very well put together video! Is drifting in automatic a thing? I've been drifting the supra on AC's Drift track for a day now. I just got my wheel & AC like 2 days ago (don't have a proper shifter yet). I mostly just power slide or flick through each corner.

@@TSRB I switched to manual since this morning. I've been using the shifters and I have way more control over the car compared to drifting in automatic. Is there any tuts out there that teach how to drift in other techniques? All I know is how to powerslide since I was using automatic at first. lol

Is it okay to adjust wheel degrees to 1080? Would it improve your drifting or make it worse?

im not an expert, nor do i have a wheel, but id say it might make it worse, ppl use 900 cause its like the sweet spot, with 1080 you can have more control over fine tuning, but it is going to take longer to turn like maybe between transitions or a sharp turn, but you can try it for maybe a week or two and see if you do better or worse

i have a big problem. it seems like i cant continue the drift if im going any more than 60-70kmh so altough i am putting throttle it just doesnt listen... i can do ok drifts under that speed but only on 2nd gear and not 3rd so i cant do big or long drifts. any help?

Yes, but you’ll need a lot of practice. I can just barely side around a corner smoothly so idk if my feed back will help but it’s something.

Should you drift with these gas to drift cars or stock cars?

I wouldn't recommend any of those easy drift cars, like Tando Buddies. The mods I mentioned are quite realistic though, they're just 'fully built' drift cars. But the drift cars that come with Assetto are the most realistic in terms of what people are driving on the street, and if you use those cars with realistic track conditions (30-60% grip) that will give you the closest experience to real life drifting. The default, non-drift cars just aren't set up for drifting so I wouldn't recommend those either.

im gonna say that the eskuo drift pack is atleast of the same quality as the wdt packs and instead of the dtp cars go for the aussie drift co pack. The dtp pack isnt that good and compared to other packs feel not as good as they should

@@kjp-sy8uf Interesting, all of the Ebisu maps are worth a try as they are all in the same motorsport complex, but Idk about Tamada. I think Tamada only has 1 track so Idk what the other are.

The settings are in a custom launcher on PC - I have no idea about the console version of the game but you should be able to drift anyway
