Very very cool to hear how you break down your thoughts of music. I get triggered and bored af of people just sticking to strict theory. It sucks all the damn fun out of music, but your take on seeing music from a story stand point is awesome

Good job Helen! I like your idea of thinking in "stories." Kind of like the, "Call and response" in blues. I'm a rhythm player who struggles with soloing. Sliding "up" is easy, using mostly the ring finger, but sliding, or moving down, well, I see most people using their "index" finger when moving "down" the neck to start a new run. A quick thought Helen? Thank you.

I loved what you did using the pentatonic scale, I’m getting to know the pentatonics unfortunately I can not use them as you just did & a great job. In any of your future lessons would you mind braking down what you’re doing? Note for not please, even just a short brake down, thanks if I could play even half as good as you, I’d feel blessed.

Just see it as a dance. Take two, or three , or four notes at a time. Say you are taking two notes, stay on those two back and forth with different patterns and hammer-ons etc. Do same with a group of three notes. I myself I am a beginner, 51 years old, but with courage. each of us can move forward.
