Fortunately my husband who works over the road is HOME and willing to help me... Thank you Jesus. And thank you too for helping me get started!!!!!!! I'm going to continue watching your videos and I will update!

I learned this method ages ago when I worked in Facilities Maintenance. It really helped when my kids wanted to decorate their rooms. They would make changes and then beg for the digital camera to see if it was "Picture Worthy". If it looks good in a "Picture" it looks good. Yeah we love Pinterest! What was really funny is when my husband wanted to know why the kids kept snapping pictures of their rooms. I showed him a picture of our living room and he hated it so much we changed it the very next weekend. Amazing!

Just found your channel and subscribed. My Dad passed away two years ago and I'm stuck. Everything has been piling up since he's been gone and I get extremely uncomfortable whenever I start thinking about clearing things up. Then I'll have a weekend where I get one area done, but the rest just seems like such an overwhelming and undoable mess. I'm hoping as I watch your videos, I'll be able to start getting over my fears and getting back to normal! Thanks for what you're doing!

I'm so sorry for your loss. It's very difficult. For you, setting that timer will be the BEST help. Making so many painful decisions is exhausting! If you have anyone who can lovingly help... don't be afraid to ask. I've found people actually LOVE getting to helping others. But choose someone who will support you

You are absolutely correct when you say that sometimes you don't see the mess until it shows up in a picture. A lot of times I will take a picture of my puppy and it is so cute that I want to send it to everyone but then I'll look at it when I get ready to send it and I think all my gosh I don't want to send it with all that junk my background or stuff on that table that I didn't clean off so you are correct take a picture!! And as for storage area in the kitchen in my apartment that is a joke. It is so small but I have to keep my canned food in the refrigerator and keep my dishes in the dishwasher lol

Take a photo...interesting concept. Have you ever walked into a room you know you want to work on but you stop and look and.... turn around and leave. Such a feeling of being overwhelmed... I am a saver...I blame my mom...I need someone to blame.. : ) She would send me off to camp and tackle my room. I'd come home and find favorite things gone...terrible feeling. That's probably why I didn't do that to my girls. I will try again...I do need to declutter. What can I live without??? Thank you for your inspiration.

So sorry that happened to you. That seems rather extreme.Kids should have a say in what to keep, what to purge. I can understand not wanting to do it to your.own children. Yes, let them enjoy camp, then let them work on their rooms, with help if needed, but they deserve to have a voice and choices. It is their stuff, after all.

I remember taking photos of my Barbie room. A co worker stopped in so I showed her my room & she said "wow so much pink" when she was looking in there. Then later I looked at the photos & said wow I see it now. lol. It was the same thing when I looked at a photo of my room I am working on. Right now it is way worse as I have boxes & stuff pulled out & spread in here but I have got rid of cards & some other papers & some puzzles so far. Lots more to go threw . Thanks again for all your great tips.

I wish I would have taken a pic of my pantry before I started using my baskets...they help so much (deep pantry) and look so nice. Once it's done, I will take a pic and send to you. My baskets are from Dollarama (Canadian dollar store, prices are $1 - $4) as the Dollar Tree stores are further away from me and I don't get to them very often. If I took a pic of what I have done tonight it would not inspire or motivate though...I just made a bigger mess from the appearance of things...but it's due to trying to go through bins/boxes and purge/organize. Good idea for some things, but not all. 😉🌹💖

Never thought to take pictures as I go. I have one room so unsettling that I don’t set a timer, I dash in take 3 items to trash and run out. It’s progress till I can reach a manageable part. I like to save boxes and containers to organize with in closets and drawers. They are a hard to manage in a organization way. Every time I organize a small space ( and there have been many lately), I don’t have to purchase anything. Collection of store bought organizers is large. Finally broke my habit. I cover boxes with contact paper if I’m using a cardboard box so it’s pretty.

HELP!! PLEASE!! Im replacing carpets and painting. I need to move the contents of two bedrooms into an unused living room. KEEP in mind these twi bedrooms used to be my children's rooms growing up. Filled with random things kids keep and leave behind when they leave the nest. They moved. Came back. Then moved again. Each time leaving things behind. These things ill place in storage until my kids can get to them. All of this going into the living room. A living room that i have allowed ti be used as an overflow of things, stuff and junk. Did i mention i kind of overflowed into the kids space too 😖? Things need to be boxed, furniture needs to be moved into the living room. All 3 need decluttered and dealt with. I started boxing things from all three. Randomly because i didnt think the updates would take long. They wouldn't take long if i could get it all boxed up. IVE BECOME OVERWHELMED!! this project was too much for me the way that i handled it. Now i have random crap, boxes haphazardly filled in THREE rooms now. Random things EVERY WHERE still waiting to be boxed and I am stuck!! What do i do? My plan to box it all and move it into the living room isnt nearly as simple as i thought it would be. ° WHERE DO I BEGIN? again?! Dump the contents of boxes and ither random things in the middle of and start boxes over again. How to box it all up properly? Furniture. Moved out of rooms first? All in one corner? After the boxes? These 3 rooms look crazier now than they did before!! Thanks for your input! Storage containers! Im using the heavy resin containers with lids. Ive also used boxes. Boxes ive tried to keep all the same size for stacking purposes. I know ill need more containers how do i guesstimate how many more and what types ill need? I dont want to get started and run out when im in the swing of it all but i also dont have a ton of space for them to sit until they get used... Thanks

OH MY GOODNESS! You have such a huge job on your hands!!!!! Forgive me for asking, but who is helping you with all of this?!?!!? I moved this last July all on by myself, and wanted to cry every day of it! So, I know how overwhelmed you are feeling right now. For boxes, try to find a local Facebook marketplace, Craigslist, or other community posting group to get free boxes. This will help you save a ton of money and get you a larger quantity all at once. You are smart to try and keep them the same size/shape as much as possible. I'd set up a few boxes at a time, and label them very clearly for the person, room, or types of items. Then set a timer and see what box you can fill the most during a 20-minute show, or 5 songs, or a set timer (whichever you work with best). And then walk away for a quick break! Having to make so many constant decisions is exhausting! Doing this as one person is a monumental task - so be kind to yourself, and just keep doing as much as you can, but rest when you need to. I wish I had a more magical answer to make it easier. 💜

I wish we could add photos here! I can not even walk safely in my art room. There are boxes and bags stacked 5' high from my Mom packed with all different items in each box/bag. Where do I even begin after the photos?

Do not watch videos that do not have CC (closed caption). This one does not.

I understand. You tube does not always allow CC, unless you pay for an outside service. I try as much as I can to convert. So sorry this one was missed.
