Black Hills Aquatic Adventures is one of the dive shops we use. Jim was our Full Face Mask instructor and maintains our Ocean Reef IDMs. My son and I have been diving since 2016 mostly in the lakes of Minnesota and South Dakota.

Is diving a rich person's sport?
@WetSouls
@WetSouls Жыл бұрын
Hello InspectorSteve. Thanks for asking this. Diving can be enjoyed by people from various backgrounds and financial means. While it is true that some aspects of diving, such as certain equipment and travel expenses, can be costly, there are different levels of involvement and affordability within the sport. At its core, diving simply involves entering the water and exploring the underwater world. Snorkeling, for example, is a form of diving that requires minimal equipment and can be accessible to many people. It allows individuals to observe marine life and reefs while swimming near the water's surface. On the other hand, scuba diving, which involves diving deeper with the aid of specialized equipment, can require more investment. Costs associated with scuba diving may include certification courses, equipment purchases or rentals, dive trips, and maintenance. Owning personal gear, such as a dive mask, snorkel, and fins, can be more economical in the long run compared to frequent rentals. Diving in exotic locations or participating in advanced diving activities like cave diving or technical diving can increase the expenses significantly. These activities often involve specialized training, advanced equipment, and travel to remote locations. Hence, they are generally more popular among diving enthusiasts who have the financial means to afford them. Overall, while diving can involve certain costs, there are opportunities for individuals with different budgets to participate and enjoy the sport. Local diving, shore dives, and snorkeling can be more accessible and affordable options, allowing a wider range of people to experience the wonders of the underwater world. Hope this helps. If you get the chance, try diving and hopefully You will enjoy it. 💙💙💙
