Loved the vid! It made me think about the following, which if you care to respond, I'd like to hear your thoughts on. Bit of a paraphrase: "It’s crucial to control the negative emotions you’re experiencing. The negative thing will happen anyways and you don’t have to make it any more negative than it is." I absolutely agree with this, and I imagine most people probably do. And while others can see and understand this fact, it would still be hard to apply in any given situation for some. I am able to put this advice into practice because of my ability to remain calm and objective, but I would say that for some it's much harder not to be negative when something bad happens to them. I guess what I'm trying to say is that for some people their emotions are just too prominent. We are after all human and not machines. There may be many that try to stay stoic, yet continuously fail. Is this noble enough a goal in itself to keep on going or should they accept this part of themselves and continue their old methods of dealing with a situation which leads to suffering? Perhaps they should they a method other than stoicism to deal with their emotions? What are your thoughts on this?

If someone often experiences a flood of negative emotions triggered by something bad that happens to him, then I'd say it's always worth to try and minimize the detrimental effect said emotions exert over him. That said, I understand your point that humans have difficulty acting correctly at all, often times, nevermind all the time. Perhaps to such a person that continually struggles with balancing his emotions, I'd say to search whether the issue is something else (e.g. alcohol, trauma etc.), as well as perhaps implementing practices like meditation and gratitude to have more presence and control over his own life.
