Focusing only on metrics you can 100% control--how many contacts you make, etc.--is great advice. You're still reliant on other people to ultimately hire you, but focusing on these other things instead of how many interviews you get increases your chances.

I listened to your videos, especially the ones that said that we are in the months that we should keep doing the job searching with intentions in a wise way and I got my 1st job offer and 2 interviews are coming one is a second interview and the other one is an interview where a friend referred me and probably it is my 4th tried on applying for job positions in that same company. So thank you for keeping me in the momentum 🙏

Thank you, my last interview went bust because they wanted me to stick with the star method and in a few questions I did not follow that method in a strict way . I tried to be more conversational and genuine like we used to do in interviews before social media took over (important corporations have hired me and I never used the so-called 'star' method in any of those interviews). I think some hiring managers want a reality show out of you instead of engaging in a real conversation, interviews are looking more like acting auditions in Hollywood than job interviews.

Good video. Good reminders. Feels familiar. I feel like maybe I'm an alternate universe. In 4th, 5th meetups/dm's my network are in shock its been 5 years last worked. after being one of the faces of the company for 10+yrs. I've done the directions with friends family, on what I'm good at, lost 30 lbs tons of energy, mma programs, followed jsp. I'm disillusioned with how many even entry level roles can't see me even with warm intros. Its like a giant wrinkly hand pulling the back of my white collar.
