@@CTAtechdesk i found this out as careful as i was one of the trigger ribbons had a split in it, wasn't sure if was meant to be like that but sure enough put back together, didn't function right x button for some reason, opened up back as carefully again and only then noticed it had completely split in half 🙈 so only then managed to find another ribbon on ebay due to someone having taken their's a part, but getting each part you need individually could soon add up to about 1000! 🤭 that's when I've appreciated the price of them that bit more 🙌

I must have a different version of the controller because the touch pad only had one screw instead of two. ExtremeRate included an extra black piece so that it still worked though. (so far so good)

If I squeeze the controller anywhere the touchpad button press activates and brings up a map in like Horizon. I've disassembled and checked multiple times I swear everything is in place. Anything I could be missing?

So I did this touch pad works as a button but not as a TouchPad.. used a hairdryer and used the supplied guitar pick to remove pcb.. and immediately applied to new TouchPad... followed rest of video and everything works except for TouchPad feature please help

Hi there, the only thing i cant think of is checking the board and ribbon again. Also, was the touchpad the same extremerate one i that i have, as i know 100% that that one will work if fitted.

I've got this weird thing happening where the moment I click the rear plate back in, the touch pad doesn't press in anymore. The moment I release the back plate again, the touch pad can press in like normal

I have an black bdm 050 controller and an white bdm 040 one can i get the 050 controllers touchpad and put it on the bdm 040 controller without getting the motherboard in the touchpad out ?

A lot more to it than I would’ve thought. I’ve taken apart a few Xbox one controllers but this seems more extensive

Yeah, these controllers are a lot more involved than any other controller I’ve done on the channel.

i was a dipsh*t and used acetone on my controller to get some paint off of it that i got on from my hands. thought it was alcohol lol. melted the whole thing together. luckily i was able to shed the shell and all plastic and replace it all

Hi, I followed the tut but when i put back the back shell the touchpad become not press-able it becomes a-bit tight when i take the back shell off it becomes clickable again.

Hmmm, OK, sounds like something is pushing on it. just double check the plastic shell is sitting right and no cables, ribbons are trapped

@@CTAtechdesk Hi Thanks for the response I've taken a look inside again but everything seems fine (as far as I could see) but it is clickable again it seems to be the shell and the battery that pushes the touchpad. Ive taken out the little foampad that pushes the battery in place and it made the touchpad clickable but not like before but thats okay.

@@shahrukhramzan9140 yes. I figured it was the four outer screws. Just snugging them fixed the issue for me. Mine is the day one also

Hi, I tried to do this but now the ps button on my controller isnt working. All my ribbon cables seem to be in ok but the controller wont switch on unless I plug into charge cable but even then the ps button wont work so I cant use it. Do you have any idea what could be causing this?

The only thing I can think is the ribbon cables. Just double check the part behind the PS button and make sure both is obstructing it, or bent.
