I just moved to a house with a glass top. I cook mostly in a stir fry style. This video was very helpful! ☺️

Never understood the North-American concept of having all control buttons at the rear of the stove, so in case you’ve to change the temperature you’ve to grab over hot steaming, fat spraying pots 'n pans. Weird.

I believe it might be so that the knobs are out of reach of young children. You make a great point too however!

​@@user-op1ee7px1b Now they will climb on top to reach the knobs. Not much of an improvement if you ask me. I guess it's easier to be able to easier tell that it's on.

Samsung is Korean. Stoves in NA are sold in different configurations. It all depends on brand and model. I’ve seen American brands with controls at the front.

Thank you. I'm not a good cook. Usually something quick and not so healthy. I grew up eating southern Appalachia cooking. Wok cooking appears to be a good transition for me to attempt cooking more nutritious meals. Wok cooking appears to be quick and easy both which I need. Your video is very helpful.

Thank you, this was very informative. In regards to cleaning the cooktop, I found that using a heavy duty scrub pad on my LG cooktop as you showed in this video scratched the surface of it unless I scrubbed lightly, which doesn’t completely remove the staining. My stove came with a less aggressive scrub pad to avoid scratching the surface, so I only use that along with a cream type of cleaner. Also, I find that wetting down the surface of the cooktop and leaving it to soak for a little while helps in removing the stains. I wipe the cooktop down daily with a sponge and use the scrub pad and cleaner once a week unless I had a boil over or spill on a hot element.

The rapid boil burners on my Samsung glass-top stove has made it very difficult to cook on the stove most times. The right mid-level heat range seems be hard to find. It either seems to be 500+ most of the range on the knob or not very hot on the lower range on the dials.

hello. Thanks for your videos. Many people are asking the same question I had when I came to this video, and that is: Which woks would you recommend particularly for a *glass top* electric stove? Carbon steel obviously is not ideal, nor is the lodge cast iron. I would love to get a thin light iron wok…do you have one that you can recommend?

The Cuisinart 14" stainless steel wok has been the one that he has recommended in all of his recent which wok to choose videos.

Have you ever used a wok ring on your glasstop stove? I may have bought a round wok to use on my flat-top stove, and any advice is helpful.

You can not use a round bottom wok with a ring on a ceramic top stove.
