I just started playing a few months ago I truly appreciate all this knowledge! I want to attempt my own maintenance before I goto a shop. Thank you

Great tips man, really good job! But what happens if you still get the buzzing noise even when you aren't touching guitar strings? My amp is brand new, and the buzzing only started suddenly when after I tuned my guitar once.

Thanks! That sounds pretty strange, but luckily I don't think the two will be related (the tuning and the buzzing). Does it go away when you touch any metal/strings? Also, do you have single coils or humbuckers?
@Bwain1293 ай бұрын
@@ConorRocksYT It doesn’t go away when I touch the strings, but goes away when I touch the volume and tone knobs as well as the pickups. I have humbuckers.

Okay! And do you have metal knobs or plastic ones?

Sounds to me like it could be a grounding issue with your guitar's pots - maybe a wire or solder joint has come loose. It's a fairly common problem and a straightforward fix if you're handy with a soldering iron and multimeter - but it should be a fairly inexpensive job at your local guitar store!

Very helpful video. One question I have is what do you use to record your amp to make youtube videos? It sounds really good from the video's I've watched. I've tried recently using a mic and it didn't work out too well. Cheers.

Thank you! 😊 I'm plugging my amp into a Steinberg UR22C and recording using Bandlab (a browser based DAW).

okay so like the entire noise goes away totally when i turn off the Tone knob on my guitar. How do i fix this? This is both with my LTD mh-50 and Jackson JS32 rhoads So it cant me a guitar issue i believe
@ConorRocksYT6 ай бұрын
That's an odd one. It sounds like it would be something to do with the guitar (although it is odd it's happening to both!). It sounds like something is grounding the signal, it could be the tone capacitor is touching the pot by accident? Is there another guitar you can test?

@@ConorRocksYT somehow and Idk how, it was my extension multi-plug all this time, the point You made about removing excess electronics did the deal for me. I connected the amp separately to another socket and there is literally no noise. Thanks i guess for that piece of Information XD Cheers for helping a fellow musician all the way from Bangladesh 🇧🇩

Thanks for the tutorial but I can’t figure out how to make it stop I hear it when I play and I have a decimate prorack noise reduction system and that’s the best solution I have found but still not 100% If I could figure it out I’d be a billionaire
