Up until about 6 or 7 months ago I used to watch your videos all the time for a couple years struggling with anxiety and health anxiety in particular. I am now free of these issues after doing EMDR for about seven or eight months. I'm thankful for everything that you helped with along the way. If you are reading this and you have been considering going to EMDR, Just do it. It is worth it every bit as long as you have a therapist who knows what they are doing. God bless all of you

I had cardio phobia for many years. Too much of the emphasis is on reducing anxiety and avoiding getting symptoms. The emphasis should be on changing the perception that there is a threat. Unless it’s actually a medical problem it shouldn’t be treated as such otherwise you are giving it legitimacy. It doesn’t deserve. Trying to get rid of. It is exactly what keeps it going. You were showing too much concern. it’s a slow process. Sometimes you can’t avoid it affecting you, but you can reduce it significantly by not struggling

I'm 15 years old and In a couple of weeks ago I took weed for the first time and kind of overdosed from it landed in the hospital. I haven't been the same since then and I've been praying more and stopped being a lukewarm Christian and today is the day I finally try this meditating to stop my anxiety.

EMDR is helping me immensely. Literally feels like it has increased my capacity for stress by increasing the size of my "cup" and also emptying my "cup" so that its not overflowing

Love the expression " you are'" instead of trying to" become" . Less striving to become. Sending love. Blessings. Love being present as the world passes by. Although recently I seem to like being alone❤

After searching (and failing) for a counsellor to help me through my journey, I thought I'd try KZbin and came across your channel. I have just watched your video and for the first time in a very long time felt a sense of hope, As you suggest I will watch this a few times and then look at your other videos. I am fed up with not living in the moment and being me - I know I'm in there somewhere just need to stop the catastrophic thoughts - I said to my lovely husband it's just like having a third person in our relationship, one that we never invited in and now it's time to show it the door. Thank you from a rainiy UK

thank you Denis.This video is dripping gold.I feel like when we are on the storm of anxiety, we are lost in it and some of the advice is not só specific.I get it is all anxiety, but you confirmed and i agree that health anxiety is tackled beggining with the somatic work. Most of us are so deep in the web, that we forget what are the past traumas and are stuck and traumatized by the symptons,and somatic work is a way to let the build up steam move and flow out.

Denis, i am suffering from long time fear, anxiety, panic, phobia everything and its make me faint in the street, bus, shopping mall, restaurant etc. Day by day unnecessary fear, phobia makes my life worser, now don't like to go out for this panic attack 😢 ! Please help me, how to overcome this problem. Thanks

It’s not necessarily a physical condition. If you see it as such when it isn’t you’re just giving it legitimacy. The real problem might be cognitive and more to do with your perception and self talk. Thinking you have an illness just feeds the problem.

Dennis- do you think trauma and this buildup of anxiety and stress over time causes things like POTS? I have a lot of past trauma in my life, most of my life. And. A lot of it during my childhood. I've always felt overwhelmed, overstimulated, "stressed" etc.... And now I've ended up with POTS. Does this kind of work, TRE, EMDR, somatics/trauma release help with these types of syndromes? I've read and heard so much about stress/trauma causing dis-EASE.
@briechilli44964 ай бұрын
I think pots is trauma. Step one. No fear. Keep working on feeling safe and slowly releasing the trauma.

Hi Dennis, I just had a couple of questions. I’ve had ongoing chronic neck pain for a couple of years now nonstop with no way to get relief. I have had a million tests but, associate that pain with a specific scary health event I experienced about 3 years ago. I want to accept that it’s just anxiety but, everytime I attempt that, my neck pain still doesn’t go away so the lower part of myself says “oh no this same thing is happening to you right now since your neck and head still hurt”. I also have been having a lot of ups and downs where I was feeling better but, have had an uptick in all feelings before my menstrual cycle. It feels like everything just gets 20 times worse. Is that normal? I also get a bunch of other random symptoms like rashes, gut issues, derealization, panic attacks, dizziness, etc. but, my most prominent are the head pressure and chronic neck and shoulder pain. It’s hard to ignore and I just wanted some help with how I can actually accept these things as anxiety. And feel semi normal that I feel these symptoms pretty much all of the time. Thank you. I have talked to my therapist about EMDR but, am afraid to try it. Any words of encouragement would be helpful.

don't accept it, thats a lie from the devil you have to meditate on gods word and” worship put on worship music start praying and seeking god like never before. those are not your thoughts those are lies from the devil. it can take some months, or weeks but you will start seeing healing🙏🏾

I am interested in your Health Anxiety Recovery program but my issue is that my health anxiety is not unfounded - it started when my husband went to hospital for stomach issues which we 100% assumed was going to be a simple treatable diagnosis but ended up being Pancreatic Cancer and passed away 8-1/2 mos. later. So, now I have health anxiety about any little ache/pain for me and my entire family because I never want to be caught off guard again - want to be pro-active and catch something before getting a "too-late" diagnosis. So, do you feel your program can help me overcome that?
@TheAnxietyGuy13 ай бұрын
I do, since it tackles the underlying programs that cause our minds and bodies to fixate on personal irrational future experiences. 🙏❤️

I have something that keeps me stuck in the fear rumination loop. I don't care if my anxiety makes me have a heart attack or other illness, at this point in time dropping dead would be the better option 😢 But what is keeping me trapped is fear that my med is causing these symptoms. They came on after a med switch 5 years ago. BUT I have also been in a hypersroused state in this time due to my mum's Alzheimer's and passing. My main issues are constant 24/7 buzzing (for 5 years) and now EXTREME sound sensitivity (it feels like sounds are bashing around in my brain and I'm so jumpy). I recently heard you mention buzzing which caught my attention. I'm assuming yours was non med related? When you say buzzing, do you mean the odd buzz that would come and go or constant 24/7 for years on end? I'm trying to tell myself it's from complete burnout and nervous breakdown (which I'm deep in... perpetuated by the buzzing and hyperarousal). But scared I might be ignoring a med issue (I've been too terrified to address this due to med switch trauma). I'm really interested to hear your insights and experience.

Because you’re looking for reassurance from an authority figure because you may not have received it from a parent or teacher you relied on as a child. Therefore, learn to become the authority for and teacher for your own inner child which still lives within you today.
