So, the courses I play here in Tucson have a lot of undulating fairways so I can hit a great drive and end up with a crap lie in the fairway. Often it is a pretty severe downhill uphill side hill lie all the same time. Any tips on how to handle really bizarre fairway lies. So depressing to hit a perfect drive and then duff your 7 iron😢 cause you have no clue how to approach the swing. Thanks.

Seems nobody plays more golf in more amazing locations than Liam. Round after round, lesions from some of the best instructors in the UK. Beautiful new Mizuno equipment complete w/professional fittings. Nobody works harder at their game, yet after all these past years, the handicap is still hovering at 9, even w/all the work Liam puts in. Doesn't detract from the entertaining videos and the success enjoyed, yet it still emphasizes the point of just having fun w/your golf, not the pursuit of trying to magically drop your handicap. For the average golfer out there, multiple lessons, new equipment, fittings, etc can become to expensive and time consuming just to drop a stroke or two. If Liam hasn't been able to succeed at that challenge, doubtful if many of us weekend warriors will either.

This video simply explained how to release the club and has made a massive difference to my constant s******g which was destroying my round. This is the exact same problem that I have with my irons. My contact is so inconsistent and I find myself having to hit one or two club lengths more to cover the distance to the green. I never seem to get the ball then turf compression that is optimal. There’s no question I’m doing the same thing with my right shoulder as your student as I pull so many irons to the left and my divots reflect the same direction rather than being towards my target. I can’t wait to get to the range to work on this drill. Thanks for sharing this with your subscribers.

Just subbed, Danny. I'm so happy to see your videos for seniors. I carried a 5 handicap back in the '70s - '80's, but couldn't play for about 30 years (life, work and disabilities happen.) I've now the time to play 3-4 times a week and wasn't sure I could even remember how to swing with any club. Your videos have made so much difference in my game play that it's brought back the joy I used to feel when I played. My son has taken up the game (he is 33) and your videos have helped him improve his game also! You keep it simple and easy to follow/ implement. You are a gem! Thank you so much from "across the pond" in North Carolina, USA.

@@nicholaslandis596 Hi Nicholas - We'd love to play a round with you! Always can make time for new golf friends. My son has variable days off, usually during the week (with a couple of weeks schedule ahead to plan tee times.) We try to play 36+ those days if my old body can handle it 😊. We're in the Greensboro area and have a local course we usually play (6,800 yards par 72, 165-520 yds all Bermuda) and they maintain it in above average condition for a public course. I'm finally getting my game somewhat under control (a bit better than bogey golf - after taking it back up earlier this summer.) When I last played, it was with persimmon clubs and without all the new technology, so I've basically had to start over. We both play for the enjoyment more than trying to be pros, but that doesn't mean the occasional birdie isn't celebrated! I still play from the men's tees, but I could probably take 6-8 strokes off if I'd let myself play from the seniors or women's tees! Keep in touch and we'll see if we can make a round or two happen. New Bern, from memory, is a beautiful area, especially for golf. I hope it hasn't changed too much!? Have a great weekend; may your ball fly true and the sky stay blue (and circle those birdies!)

Oh Danny, Oh Danny Boy ! I just watched your vid with Liam and Small Changes for the third time. While I've never been a regular slicer or hooker of the ball, I just simply couldn't achieve consistant contact. Tried the drill, focused on setup, and Boom ! Ball Contact Magic, and repeatable. Swing after swing, 5 iron, 7 iron, 4 iron, 7 wood, 9 iron, no matter the club, things are vastly better. I've experienced 5 different instructors (live) and never has anyone explained the miriad of swing thoughts so clearly and consicely. I loved Liam's "Jesus look at that Dan," and the more I repeat that to myself the more solid the ball contact. Please keep up the good work, I could listen to your accent 24 hours a day, you and Stuart Varney. You create Golf Magic, Stu Creates Money Magic. Can't thank you enough ! KK St George UT USA

the lesson about the swing and feeling the club as a pendulum really made something click, cant wait to put it in practice on the course sunday. what im getting from this lesson is you basically throw the club into the ball and swipe after ? maybe in order to keep your shoulders still on the backswing one could tuck their shirt under their armpits and make sure it stays tucked upto the final part of the swing? i saw a excercise like that before.

I literally just fixed my swing soo much. I know I've said it a lot lately, but seriously haha I've played for a good bit, so I had a good base to off of. But my MAIN issue was I never was really taught that I should have a good forward press. Since I played baseball I also tended to open to club face, so I also got that under control with some grip changes and really focus on holding the face while focusing on that forward press as well through impact, thank to ya. I saw my 7 iron go from 150 to 170 with a slight draw and my driver from about a 250 carry to honestly about 270-300 on a solid strike. Absolutely gnarly results... I was shocked seeing my irons going the ACTUAL distance I expect. This explanation is the exaccttttt thing I've been doing before hitting my irons. Really helps build the muscle memory.
