I think the key is to drop the labels of how we define ourselves. When I meet other people I do my best not to mentally put them into a box by labeling them. Labels are a form of judgment and cause separation. At a deeper level I believe we are all one so the less labels the less separation. Both towards labeling other people and mentally labeling ourselves. Great video bro and much love!

+Secret Agent I believe the richest people on Earth really do rule the show by the contact with the Gods themselves who created this universe reality. If there is or are gods. They pass down the guidelines to them as well as to any person, accordingly to their own life, position among others, needs and purpose. Why not? Just because we're no longer with a Religious authority in the ultimate control doesn't mean that the current power elite isn't also being guided to rule by 'divine' order. "Divine", Extradimensional, Alien, The Architect from the Matrix, the Aether, quintessence... whatever it is if there always were since the dawn of civilization as we know. If atheists are wrong then that's how it is, no matter how much envy and disgust anyone has against the ruling power elite. Just deal with it... or try to be one of them instead of judging and distancing, which will make anyone more and more poor and embrace poorness in general at some point.

So powerful. I think your best video to date. I have been babysitting my two young cousins since they were born. The boy is 10 and the girl is 5. Both are so smart. The girl, in particular, is pretty vocal and has already started picking up on her parent's judgments about people. One day my aunt and the girl were walking out of a store and some seemingly homeless people asked for money. My aunt said no. The little one later asked why my aunt said no. Her response was the people needed to get a job. Another instance was when my cousin called some people dirty because of the way they were dressed. She's 5. Children don't come into the world like this. I try to flip things around when I'm there and give a different perspective hoping it'll stick. This stuff starts so young. I see it in myself too. I can see where I've hated on rich people and men. We're all taught these things, until we wake up. Your raw, live admission of judgments helped me tremendously. Thank you.

The World is your mirror is a concept that helped me a lot, with non judgment. when I judge others I judge myself and the other way around. Oneness or non-duality. And it's not some spiritual wo wo.. without any practical application in our life. test it and be mindful about what you actually know about others.. and it's nothing! All you know is that you know the sens perceptions, but they themselves hold no story other than the one you apply. This is has made me appreciate everyone as they are and understand that violence is only grounded in unconscious behaviour and as for myself they are only hurting themselves. therefore conflict is an illusion that only brings suffering on it's own origin. As Jesus said: forgive them father for they know not what they are doing.

Something to watch out for: even after direct consciousness of your true nature, there's still mounds and mounds of these "hidden rules" waiting to be uncovered. Awakening is usually not the end-all-be-all; the real work usually occurs after the fact when you uncover more and more of your conditioning as you become more and more authentic.

@hendrik95279 жыл бұрын
+Miranda Kerr I have a similar problem. Sometimes it's no so easy to maintain that distance. I try to not talk about personal growth topics because most my family has never dealt with them at all. If you try to teach math to a monkey, he will throw shit at you. That's just how it is. However, it's hard to avoid these topics if you (like me) are very passionate about them. It helps, tough, to know what your values are and to be very clear on them. The more uncertain you are the easier it is for people to attack you and drag you down. I recommend you to look for an exercise to find out what your true values are.

Question Leo: How does one not ever place judgements? Is that even possible? If I want to pick regular places to eat, I should decide for myself that some are good restaurants and some are bad. Isn't that some sort of judgement? Isn't judgement needed to navigate through life?
@RCJPistolPete899 жыл бұрын
I do believe thats what eastern monks aspire to. Be totally at one with everything.
@ActualizedOrg9 жыл бұрын
+m4mario You should make a distinction between petty judgments vs evaluations. Choosing a restaurant is not a problem at all unless you badmouth other restaurants in the process. Your mind has natural preferences for what it does and doesn't like. We are not trying to erase those preferences here. What we're concerned about here is petty unconscious judgments like: "I fucking hate McDonalds. It's disgusting, only fat people eat there, they exploit their workers, and their CEO is a greedy asshole." Instead of thinking all that, you would simply say, "Let's go to Chipotle. I like Chipotle!"

Hey Leo, thank you for another great video! I'd like to say that the exercise did help me see the way negative judgements impact my life, but it also got me thinking - are positive judgements really that bad? When we have something nice to say about others (and DO express it) we lift other people up, gain good karma: everyone benefits! And if we have a healthy self-esteem, even if we do start to compare and feel inferior to this person in some way, there's always something, from within, that can reverse this negative effect, isn't there?

Leo, you are great and greatest thing of all is that you are sharing your knowledge and experience with us giving us the opportunity to become great!!! I hope you realize yourself how BIG it is. I have been watching your videos for a while and I am so excited about them that I constantly advise my friends to look at them as well. And the fact that you post them regular keeps oblivious people like myself focused and reminded where we are going...:) Thank you!

As soon as the video ended, I found myself judging my surroundings again. And I got scared by the fact that I'm doing it constantly and I wanted it to stop but It made me feel like I'm stuck in a limbo. I was judging myself judging. So I unleashed my judging habit and let it judge freely while I was paying attention to it. judging stopped but silence followed. I didn't know what to do instead of judging because that's how I lived all my life and maybe the only way my unconsciousness and ego need to stay existent. Not judging meant annihilation of my ego. I found myself trembling and clueless but I thought of a word 'vulnerability'. This is how vulnerable I and humans are. I looked around sitting in a cafe and there were many other people. They all seemed as vulnerable as I am. We are all vulnerable beings looking for a certain shape of life that can possible hold us tight and prevent us from trembling, shaking, being afraid of making mistakes, being ashamed in front of others because we are not good enough and looking like a new born baby without a clue. We are endlessly begging for any kind of assurance or certainty as we are vulnerable from day one. But once you step into this dark, deep murky water with your own feet, stepping into uncertainty or uncharted territory, your life journey will finally, and truly begin. It's okay if you are scared. that's how beautiful our life is.

This came at the best moment, and I was looking for a video like this yesterday. It's funny too, that just before I watched this video, I saw a movie and the main character really caught my eye, and I thought, "Wow, he's really cool," but subconsciously, I was comparing myself to him, and that's when insecurity and guilt came, like I wasn't good enough. So I even started emulating him a little bit. Anyway, now I see that those judgements/comparisons happen in almost every facet of my life, and affects my behavior in very harmful ways. Thank you for the insight; this is really going to propel me forward in my personal development. In fact, I can already feel the gears and cogs reworking and shifting in my mind while I find these hidden judgements that've been out-of-sight for so many years.

For the judgements I put a Star next to, I created a separate list with two headings - Old Mindset and New Mindset - to help reprogramme previous biases. I elaborated on the reason I judged certain things in the past and wrote a new perspective next to it ... found it helpful

when you judge yourself negatively, you are disapproving yourself, you are giving yourself a reason to find yourself rejectable, you start unloving yourself, you see yourself as not good enough. sometimes we disapprove people that we don't find interesting enough, entertaining enough, like if it were their responsibility to entertain us, like a TV channel that we can change if it doesn't please us, the truth is that people don't exist to please you, they only have to be themselves, they only have to live. just like them, you don't have to be a super human, you don't have to be impressive, entertaining, interesting, you just have to be yourself. you are ok just the way you are, embrace yourself as you are, with all your flaws and virtues, the goal is to accept yourself and love yourself.
