Have better energy and focus. I consume because I want to feel good, get bored and have a hard time having a fun. It makes it easier for me to have fun and socialize. Day 11 no weed, no caffeine. I rarely drink alcohol, maybe a beer with tacos once every 2-3 weeks, a glass of wine maybe once a month if even... so not too worried about that. Not my main issue that was destroying my life. I was a daily weed smoker for 15 years, when my husband died 2.5 years ago, I just went off the rails, I was smoking at 7:30am, constantly stoned. I don't regret it to be honest, it helped me cope with everything in my life, but I knew I was abusing it and just did not want to do anything about it. It was tough as hell the first week, but here I am... there is light at the end of the tunnel. I just hope this anxiety and worry about not having money/not knowing to take care of my son will slowly go away. I also hope I start to feel better and more positive. I feel overwhelmed and "blah", but I am determined to get my life back. How, I have no idea, but I trust that the journey will eventually show the way. Excellent video, you are absolutely helping me get through this, I am so grateful to you.

Why I smoke weed? 1.Boredom-but this causes Isolation-feeling alone 2.Just because: needs discipline 3. Relaxes me: so nicely BUT that it stops me in all my motivation to get things done. Therefore yes addiction is a vicious circle until I decide no more! It’s a choice I am about to make because me too, am sick and tired to keep lying to myself. I am ready for the challenge. thanks for your work. i've been smoking marijuana since 1996, i'm now 45 years old and although i've used a lot of different types of drugs, marijuana has always been my drug of choice and i thought it was harmless until a few years ago. i can do without drugs, but without marijuana it's very difficult. it's been 7 years of struggle to give up this addiction. It's been months without, followed by relapses, but the truth is that I haven't managed to get rid of it completely so far. and you're absolutely right, I don't like it anymore, the feeling isn't good, it increases my anxiety, sometimes I have a panic attack, every time I smoke that voice comes and says “why did you do that, it's not good” your content is incredible, you're helping me a lot and I'm going to succeed. Marijuana has negatively impacted all areas of my life, all of them. Thank you Doc and keep up your work you are saving lives. a big hug and best wishes from Brazil.

When I wanted to stop I thought I was the biggest addict of all and I thought it’s gonna be hell. Some of these videos made me even more sure of it. The tension in my back muscles from cannabis induced anxiety and paranoia is insufferable. I feel so fed up and tired of lying to myself and pretending it is a harmless drug that I decided to finally quit. I feel you! I smoked 33 years and I know it’s time to let it go and not go back after this clean up. Use to puff weed as a coping mechanism but abused it smoking it everyday. The weed now is strong so I understand why the withdrawal is so strong. We all in this together STAY STRONG and tell Mary Jane I’m out this relationship boo!

You are a godsend. What an amazing resource for people struggling with weed addiction. Many people believe weed is not addictive, and that may be truefor some. But I think your content touches on the root cause of any addictive behavior. Trauma, neglect, and abuse contribute to addictions. For me, I am becoming more aware of my tendency towards feeling sad, regretful and worthless. Theses substances and behaviors help us feel better in the short run, but don't address the real reasons for our sadness, nor do they promote understanding yourself.

Thank you for these helpful videos. It's 3 days that I've quit smoking weed. And I'm really proud of myself because before even couldn't stop smoking for a couple hours. But now three days means a lot to me and from the second day , the big part of my mind is still pushing me to smoke. It keeps saying now that you can stop smoking for 3 days. It's enough. Start smoking and then you can quit whenever you want. But the thing is now I know this trick. I know myself. And I've made myself busy with more work. More readin. Mire Listening to music more outdoor activities like just walking in nature or talking to friends.

As someone who has struggled lifelong with various addictions, I appreciate your approach. I also dislike being labelled as "an alcoholic" or thinking that I am defective in character or that I need to spend the rest of my life attending meetings talking about drinking. Drinking isn't that great that it needs to be constantly relived. It's like, get a life and move on. I know it's a valuable social network, but it's also very cult like and there are a lot of toxic people there who don't actually grow. I have also met some great ones, but it's hard in early recovery to tell the difference when people are vulnerable. Good food, water, rest, exercise and an active life are the only "cure".

Just stop! You really need to want it, you need the motivation, whatever it might be. Smoked for 15 years, everyday, the whole day. I always thought I couldn't stop. But then I had no money anymore and for the first time I REALLY wanted to quit. Paying the med bills for my dog, to save her, was more important for me. I had the motivator and just stopped without any problems. I realized that the only reason I had never quit was because I never really wanted to and told my self BS like "I can't, I need it, I go crazy without and can not sleep". Turned out nothing of it was true.
