Top symptoms your diet is causing your morning fatigue: • Brain fog • Trouble concentrating • Irritability • Hunger in the mornings • Cravings in the morning • Headaches • Nausea • Bloating • Stiffness How to stop waking up tired in the morning: 1. Get on a low-carb diet (Healthy Keto®) 2. Avoid restaurant food 3. Do intermittent fasting (skip breakfast and eat your last meal 5 hours before bed) 4. Protect yourself from blue light and EMF, especially before bed 5. Give your eyes a break from glasses 6. Get plenty of exercise (HIIT, long walks, and physical work) 7. Take vitamin D for jet lag 8. Keep your room cool while sleeping 9. Invest in a good mattress 10. Open your window while sleeping 11. Breathe through your nose while sleeping Thank you Dr Berg!🐱👍🏿

@@J.o.e_K yeah I tend to find out these expressions rather innocently. I went to a small coffee shop and asked for a Matcha with an espresso shot and the lady said “ so you want it dirty?” Me in my sarcastic mood said “ well no, I’m not thrilled if you sweep up your floor and dump the contents in it actually though it may have some benefit for my microbiome.”She looked at me in horrors and explained that wasn’t what she meant. I just want to say thank you. I was a morning person my whole life until 2020 when I got covid(or whatever it is people were catching back then) or I could be wrong something else happened but my sleep had never been the same. I would wake up tired every single say. Working out helped but not much, I felt fatigue throughout the day. I have never been a foodie I don’t really like food I don’t eat that much and I cant eat a lot of things . So a couple of weeks ago I stumbled on this platform and IF caught my attention. I figured since I already have a complicated relationship with food, it wont be difficult for me to try. I also learnt about stevia here and since then have replaced sugar with that. In one week, one godamn week , i no-longer feel tired all day long, i wake early morning and I feel refreshed and thoroughly rested. My skin looks brighter the dark under eyes are going away. Just because I stopped biting this and that throughout the day. Intermittent fasting is the answer to a lot of health and bodily function issues.

Dr Berg, you saved my sight! I began taking vitamin A a couple days ago after one of your videos recommended it for something I have been struggling with for 20 years! For the first time in 20 years I woke up without my eyelids glued to my eye balls! and I didn't wake up every 4 hours to use eye drops. And after beginning TUDCA this week I had a normal bm for the fist time in most of my life of chronic constipation and having to use natural laxatives once a week. I am hopeful these positive signs will continue to improve, thank you so much ❤

What I saw in my case is that even though I tend to watch screens before bed, quality of my sleep improved TREMENDOUSLY when I made sure that my room is completely dark. So using blinds to cover windows against lights on street. I don't have to sleep long anymore to be refreshed, because my sleep got shorter, but much more efficient. What also helped is that I make sure that in my room temperature does not exceed 16 degrees C.
@sensimania

You now experience more REM time, hence the reason you no longer need to sleep as long. The need for a completely dark room is the reason why I bought blackout curtains years ago. But I also need Frasier (tv sitcom) playing in the background 😏 with the tv set on a timer

I found that I was running a bit too high on ammonia, so citrulline / L-Ornithine were great things to supplement with because they helped get rid of all that excess ammonia, which was causing some fatigue and brain fog. Also helps to keep water with me at my bed and if I wake up initially close to my wake up time, I'll chug the water, otherwise at least chug immediately after the alarm goes. Fighting dehydration right off the bat isn't the worst idea in the world to gain more energy and clarity.

So what I think I find most interesting is yes I agree not eating so close to bedtime. But the downfall to that is doctor that your stomach produces something called Grelen which signals the brain telling it to eat. So if you don’t eat enough food for dinner and find a really good timing balance to when you go to bed you’re stomach will be telling your brain the whole night to wake up and eat food because it’s hungry which is a major sleep disruptor. You may want to factor that in as well. Thanks for all your educational videos as we love them.

Perfect timing, I woke up this morning and felt like I'd been hit by a truck. There was no reason for it either that I was aware of. However, I did spend the whole day with my vegan friends and ate what they were eating which was tons of carbs. Your presentation says it all. Thank you Dr. Berg.

* Waking up is a hormonal process, so takes longer than, say, a nervous reaction (eg. Tap to the knee reflex). * Stretch when you wake up. Many body functions rely on the movement of your body. * Sleep 6 or 9 hours. Sleep cycles 1.5 hours long. * You can sleep for more than one period a day. Search on biphasic sleep. * If it’s 4am or 6am and you don’t have work tomorrow, start your day and get some productivity done!

Biphasic sleep? What our ancestors did? Honestly, these days that would be called insomnia. And apparently, if we keep waking up periodically, we can't ever get a chance to reach our REM.

ABSOLUTELY CORRECT ON THE STOPPING EATING WAY EARLY BEFORE BEDTIME!!! During heavy menopause time and intense night sweats where my sheets would need changed, somewhere during a normal day in my life my boyfriend pissed me off so much that I had no appetite and was too angry to even care about eating... and much to my surprise, when I should have been lying awake all night in frustration and anger, instead I ended up sleeping ALL night AND WAS DRY AS A BONE!! SO, I asked a Dr friend of mine about it and she just said, " eat the same exact things at the same exact times as you did and see what happens"- SAME RESULT! So I started playing around with food and times after that, and found it was the stopping food much earlier than I always had ( around 5pm). This little thing changed my menopause, night sweats and sleeping by 98%! - NO JOKE! Thanks Dr berg for all your help👍

I've had a period of time in which keto helped my energy, but when I tried again it didn't help much. I'm still usually trying to lower carbs, especially in the morning, and I think I usually feel slightly better on low carb. I stopped keto mostly because I lost too much weight and was almost underweight, but also because it can be really difficult to stick strict diets.

@helenketo251 thanks for the reply. well, my bmi was getting below 18.5, any muscle weight I've gained quickly disappeared and at some point the energy boost I had disappeared as well. But sure I also started looking a bit on the unhealthy thin side (in my opinion). So not only looks wise but health wise too. I think the amount I was eating was fine and I followed the "healthy keto" 1/2 the meal is vegetables, often including spinach and broccoli, 1/4~1/3 was usually animal based protein and the rest was fatty foods like avocado or olives. I didn't have much issues with cravings of any sort. Just unable to keep or raise my weight, it kept going down.
