You’re the best Dr. Berg! I’ve learned so much from watching so many of your videos the last 2 years that honestly have help my health improve dramatically since then. We need more doctors like you in this world that teaches holistic approaches that can help cure our own diseases and health problems that the drug companies despise, and the average MD completely ignore and think you’re crazy and ignorant as a patient if you question their knowledge/ medical training. You are seriously doing Gods work and will be blessed tremendously, so I thank you for teaching us all about what you know to the world as there’s no one else like you online that teaches so much about what vitamins do what at the same time talking about what the causes of these deficiencies are, and where they are coming from. You give honest solutions to specific problems, and I can’t thank you enough for it.

Im now down to my goal weight and feeling amazing. For years before this choice I doctored because something wasn't right, never got any diagnosises, also never had any issues associated with being obese, but after loosing 131 pounds I "feel" 100% like "myself" again. I really really believe that pyramid needs to be flipped. And no, I don't live off bacon, lunch meat and pork rinds. I actually eat WAY more healthier then most. I also totally believe what i say to anyone who talks to me about my weight loss..."EveryBODY is different. What works for 1 might not for the other". I say keep it up you're doing amazing!!💙

If you eat a healthy balanced diet your very seldom in trouble ( and the advices here are good) but it’s not like your normally deficient in vitamins if you’re eating a varied diet especially not if you at the same time pop a vitamin supplement.. You should always take stress symptoms seriously they cannot very often be eaten or excersiced away😢❤

This explains a lot. I'm in the middle of a one week unpaid leave of absence from my job right now, just because my sleep has been thrown so far off my normal schedule that even basic daily tasks have become a major struggle. Just before this started happening, I had increased my work hours, and since my job is very physical, I thought I could get away with eating only convenient junk foods until things slow down at work again. And even though I lost 9 pounds during the first three weeks on the longer work shifts, I feel so irritable and depressed from the extreme circadian rhythm shift that the weight loss is just not worth the price paid in misery. I have until Saturday to get my sleep schedule back on track and get back to work, and the way I feel right now gives me a lot of incentive to strictly follow the advice in this video.

Hello Dr Berg, I HAD a vitamin B1 deficiency for 24 years which was triggered by the suicide of a close friend and I’ve struggled going from doctor to doctor who told me I had “Generalised Anxiety Disorder” and “Treatment Resistant Depression”. General Practitioners threw SSRIs, Tricyclic antidepressants and SNRIs at me but I knew there was an underlying cause. YOU have fixed me and I am eternally grateful to you. I’m also in the process of fixing my mother who is willing to work with me and willing to take your excellent advice. She’s diabetic and is now so obviously B1 deficient. She takes Metformin and has recently had cataracts surgically removed, if only I’d have found you sooner! My dad has AF and is as stubborn as a mule, he’s taking a beta blocker but won’t take Potassium Citrate which I KNOW would fix this problem from watching your other videos on AF. It’s so frustrating. 😫 Thank you so much, I’m off all of my meds and am completely fixed, no anxiety, no low mood, no more brain fog, no more chronic fatigue. You’re the best. I work as a TV Cameraman here in The UK and have a degree in Biochemistry. I am now OBSESSED with nutrition and healthy keto after watching countless videos you’ve created. You’re work is off the chart in excellence. I’d love to meet you one day, I wonder if I’d be welcome at one of your events in The US or if you’re ever in The UK please do let me know. I’d love to get the opportunity to work with you one day so I can combine my passions which are filming high end content for TV, Biochemistry and of course Healthy Keto. Thanks again, Andrew

This will sound crazy but: I was tired all the time for years - would wake up exhausted every morning after sleeping all night and need to nap during the day. The doctors couldn’t explain it but said it was some type of chronic fatigue :o Anyway I randomly discovered something called ‘’mouth taping” where you tape your mouth closed at night with a band-aid. I tried it and WOKE UP THE NEXT MORNING BEFORE MY ALARM EVEN WENT OFF FEELING TOTALLY REFRESHED :o now I’ve done it every night for like 2 years and don’t have that exhaustion anymore even if I’m late to bed!! Turns out we create something called ‘nitric oxide’ (??) in our nose and it’s vital to our brain. But if we sleep with our mouth open we aren’t getting enough. Also the tongue can slip into the throat causing you to have micro wakings all night and never get into a deep sleep. So pretty much a band-aid literally fixed years of utterly inescapable horrible exhaustion for me :D

@@Mariasanchezz235 I use aqua band aids that are meant to stay on in the pool - they stick really well. I put two in a cross shape over my lips. Wow, what an enlightenment. For several decades, my reality of B1's significance was limited to using it as means to prevent the mind from being over stimulated. You know, that sensation when you try to go to sleep but your mind won't quiet down and causes that 'hamster wheel' phenomenon. That, and that supplements need to be balanced is all I knew. For example, for several years, I was taking extra B12. Then on an annual checkup, found out I had too much B12 in my system. I am amazed at the wealth of bio science that Dr. Berg has. Lacking simple datums about managing this complex machine, aka, the body, isn't it shocking to realize how many people wind up in a condition of confusion, floundering in medical complexities? We are fortunate that Dr. Berg communicates knowledge in a manner that enables understanding. Thank you Dr. Berg.

thanks dr. Berg, your videos are always a mine of information. I am eating healthy keto + IF, and I do use nutritional yeast, but I am still having issues with extreme fatigue and depression...still exploring all I can do on my journey to health. I have Hashimoto's and am doing whatever I can to address that as well. I am doing the AIP protocol, no grains, etc. doing a detox, doing longer fasts when I can, and it has been a while. I walk regularly in nature, and try to get sunlight most days. I lost a lot of weight, but I am still not feeling the benefits with mood and energy and am losing momentum and hope...especially going into winter...don't know what else to do....

What supplements do you take? I had to roll back on a few such as quercetin as it caused fatigue.
@bluejay55312 жыл бұрын
@@anonomous7936 oh, good to know, thanks for sharing, not taking that, but it actually was on my radar to add at some point. I am taking a whole load of supplements, would be too long to write, nac, nad+, omega3, magnesium, potassium, vit D3, some detox mixes, and did a cycle of many months of amino-acids because I heard they can help for mood and energy. Also some mixes specifically for energy... I also added one I can't remember the name now, from olive extract because in one of his videos dr. Berg advised this thing for Epstein Barr, which I did have in the past, in my 20s and may still be lingering and the cause of Hashimoto, who knows...I actually need to check that video again. I am also taking dessicated thyroid because of Hashimoto.

For what it's worth, you should look into cutting carbs to bare minimum . So, approaching a total carnivore diet. It's gradually helping myself and the amount of testimonials from the positive effects of going total carnivore are mind blowing. Please keep an open mind about it!

Look into Dr. Jennifer Daniels and her protocol for 'Pure Gum Spirits of Turpentine'. Lots of auto-immune problems may be caused by parasites, and turpentine (NOT the type in the hardware store!!) helps to gently remove them over a period of time, avoiding reactions from too much parasite 'die-off' (or Herxzheimer reaction) hence there is a protocol. The medical establishment hate this information getting out, as when people get healthy the industry can no longer profit from them. Hence Dr. Daniels had to move to South America, to avoid being harrassed.

There is lots of good info in this video, IMO however, it leaves the impression that B1 deficiency is the overwhelming leader in causing lack of energy. There are LOTS of things that can cause you to be tired and have a lack of energy. B1 (aka Thiamine) deficiency is certainly among the leading causes but is only 1 among many possible causes. B1 deficiency is quite common, however, so are other B vitamin deficiencies, which can also play important roles in energy production. There are also minerals that play important parts in energy production and are commonly suboptimal. Part of the problem is most GP doctors have little to no training in practical nutrition. This means they rarely test for nutrient deficiencies. I would suggest either insisting that your doctor run vitamin and mineral deficiency tests, or that you simply bypass them and go directly to one of the testing services that can provide you the tests. Knowledge is power. That said, it is always a good idea to make sure your diet includes healthy, bioavailable sources of B vitamins.

I think Dr. Berg you could talk about food intolerances and how they affect insuline and all kind of other effects. That was the mean reason I was kick out from ketosis and I had to stop ketogenic diet due to eggs intolerance. Frank suarez's youtube channel has a lot of videos ( in spanish ) about that and I must say it's a really important factor.
@pat40052 жыл бұрын
I hope you are back on the ketogenic diet again, now that you found out that you had a food intolerance for eggs. I discovered that also. But here is the big thing for me with eggs. The problem is the egg whites, and also if I scramble the eggs. I can eat the yols easily with no problem if I hard boil the eggs and do not eat the egg whites. Or, my favorite is to put a couple raw egg yolks stirred very lightly, into rawmilk. I would buy the eggs from a local mini farm that just had pasture-raised chickens. I also found in the gricery store, organic eggs that are pasteurized. They are somehow pasteurized, but they are not fully cooked in the way a hard-boiled egg is. They remain like a raw egg but safe to eat that way'. Then I add a couple to the half glass of raw milk which I was able to buy from a certified seller of it. Eating the raw yolk and raw milk was awesome and the only thing that was equal (as far as energy goes) to eating a steak! I have always been lactose-intolerant and became ill when having milk, but I discovered through reading a out it, that the heat of pasturizing the milk causes certain bacteria to die off, which unfortunately are the ones necessary to break down the lactose! So by having raw milk, that special, naturally occurring bacteria remains present in the raw milk in it's natural state, and now I can drink milk without ever getting sick to my stomach! It is amazing and I love it!❤❤❤ Hope you can find it in your area too!

Thank you very much, Dr. Berg, for all the effort you put into giving knowledge to everyone on earth. I've just realized that I had vit B1 deficiency before starting ketogenic diet and IF. I did really like having sweet fruits and snacking all the time. My feet always got edema when I sat or stood for too long. I easily got tried walking upstairs. I also got a fungal infection on my skin that could not be healed with antifugal cream. I had no idea what happened to me those times. After following your channel and applying healthy keto diet with IF, just in 4 months the fungal infection has gone with no reason. I can run upstairs. My blood glucose has dropped from 130 to 75 mg/dL. My pluse rate is getting better from 99 to 75 times/min. I lost 20 lbs and still going down. I have done 48 or 72 hr prolonged fasting, and I'm feeling great, not hungry, full of energy! Huge thanks to you for saving my life!
