Mam.... I always worry about my principal kicking me out for some reason I don't know.... Like when I make online you tube videos and some students are not able to understand the lessons.... I always get to worry that my principal would kick me out... I have old parents who are dependent on me for basic needs so I need to do a job that is closer to home so I have a distance boundaries in finding a work....... I am currently working as a grade school teacher in a private school that pays well and is closer to my home where my parents live......So that's like the worst nightmare if I lose the job for some reason.... I don't even know the reason..... I sound ridiculous... I know,,... But please mam suggest me something what to do....

I work in the back office of a bank, and my internal clients give me work as if I had a team of 5 people helping me, whereas I’m actually alone. What do they expect exactly giving me 40 new tasks every single week? Am I supposed to work 18 hours per day to complete them? This is nuts. So usually I just end up working at my own speed, and for no more time than what I’m paid for (8.5 hours a day). I’m usually only able to deliver about 20-30% of the tasks they give me, and I obviously focus on the ones with highest priority. Then they inevitably end up escalating to my line manager, which asks me what’s going on. I tell her I don’t have enough bandwidth to cover all the tasks, but she tells me they have no budget to hire additional people, and that’s basically where the story ends.

I'll try these. I just got a promotion a month ago I've made a couple of mistakes. But I am the only one that seems to be upset about them lol I put a lot of pressure on myself and I worry I'm not good enough.

Your perfectionism is getting in your way my friend. If others haven't noticed it means you're doing your job. It's hard when you have high standards and are accustomed to excelling, but as you settle into this new level be as easy on yourself as you are eager to succeed.

I would love to quit. But my psyche doesn't allow me to do so, cause I don't know what I can do instead. My reasons lie so immensely underneath especially because of social anxiety, fear to ask something or ask twice. I don't want to seem vulnerable or dumb. So I just work and procrastinate the work I'm afraid of because I don't find immediate solutions. Additionaly if lots of work awaits you and the workload seems to get bigger and bigger I freak out. But no.. I never show signs of vulnerability only at home with stress symptoms... I hate, that I feel this way!

Working under deadline can be a lot of pressure, can't it? Since you're stressing I'm assume you have a plan to get things done, but it's the worry that things will go sideways and you'll miss your deadline. Does that sound on track?

I worry about losing my job because I've lost two jobs because of my work performance. With my current job, which I've had for over four years I'm doing a good performance, but I still worry about making mistakes that might cost me my job. I haven't got any warnings about being dismissed so I guess I really am being paranoid. Another reason for worrying about losing my job is I'm an immigrant in another country where keeping a job is important. I have a visa, but I want to gain citizenship in two years time.
@JenniferBrick
@JenniferBrick 3 жыл бұрын
I feel you on this, I immigrated to the US and mine and my husband's visa was originally tied to his company. It's a lot of stress! Focus on the track record you have had for the last 4 years. I assume you've had positive performance reviews, you're diligent about your work and you know the expectations.
@jamesreed2366
@jamesreed2366 3 жыл бұрын
@@JenniferBrick really? Where are you from originally? I do think I'm just being paranoid and not for good reasons, but your advice is useful and I will keep it in mind 😉 One thing I have to accept is that my job might not be forever and when it's time to look for a new job it's time.

I am the kind of guy who keeps worrying if the doc I am checking has some errors even if I have checked it twice. So I check it the third time. I think I have developed this problem at th job only. Earlier I wouldn't care about doing things wrong. Not only this, I keep worrying about tomorrow's work today. I don't know how to get out of this problem. I sometimes tell myself that everything will be fine and worrying will do no good. Even my family members tell me that and they are worried about my health. But I still can't get out of this.

Idk. Working in sales I feel like worrying is part of the gig. If you dont hit your revenue goals, forget promotion- you probably will be let go, especially during this pandemic...its happened to me before and chances are it will again despite how hard I try.

I hear you Daniel, I was an Account Exec at an IT recruiting agency when the last recent hit. I haven't had so much stress as I did then. Easier said than done: it’s like worrying about life it ends the same for everybody. Once you boil it down all the worry doesn’t add value it just makes you like the pain leading up to an event. A little worry helps you be aware of problems.
