I accept the criticism that my hair wasn't "straight enough" and it's because I only did one pass on medium heat with my hair. I was scared to straighten my curls (I still love my curls) but after testing the Dyson Corrale I have realised that it's not destroying my hair and I'm really happy to share more tips on straightening curls.

Cool, thanks for sharing this! I have naturally curly/wavy hair which a lot of the time in summer I just let dry naturally (I'm in Australia too) and the humidity causes my hair to frizz too, so this is the best way for me to wear it during the warmer more humid months. But sometimes I do like to straighten it.... I blow dry first and even when I do it is still frizzy, so then go in with a GHD hair straightener and straighten it. If it's really humid, no matter what I do, it frizzes, i use anti-frizz stuff, but still battle with it! Anyway, that's what I do! (Oh and I'm wearing a wig in my profile pic!)

How do you keep the humidity from making it poofy again? Mine seems to get big again if I go outside at all. I use a spray thermal protectant, a curl calming cream and a straightening serum. And then I hair spray.
