Locking the exposure will greatly reduce the choppiness from too much info processing at the same time. My G9 runs at like 3fps if theres a lot going on and the exposure is set to auto. On locked exposure it does maybe 13fps if theres a lot going on.

Glad you lied the video. Yes, there is absolutely a way for you to both record and live stream. One way is to use the streaming software that you are using ot record the feed to your hard drive (eg. StreamYard). Streamyard.com automatically records a copy of the livestream to the account you have with them. That's one way.

Thanks for this video ! I have purchased equipment to connect my Panasonic Lumix G90 camera to my MacBook Pro via a Blackmagic ATEM Mini Pro ISO. The G90 is connected via HDMI to the ATEM, which in turn is connected to the Mac via USB-C. I am able to get the camera's video feed on my Mac, but I have one question: When the Panasonic is plugged into the mains, I've noticed that the image flickers during live streaming. Should I remove the battery or should I invest in a specific charger?

Sorry you're getting a lag. I use the S5 directly into my computer using the USB-C cord that came with the camera. The app software automatically recognizes the connection. I have have experience using Lumix with HDMI. I would recommend a capture card if you want to connect it to your computer with HDMI. Numerous options on Amazon.

Hi. I just bought this Lumix DMC FZ300 because, like the lower quality camcorder I was using via a Pango to OBS, it has an HDMI out. Imagine my disappointment to find no signal through HDMI to the notebook so I could stream! I thought maybe the Record activates the HDMI, that maybe it is inactive for that reason. Nope. We had been recording on SD card while streaming before. Now we have a whole new issue. I see an AV out port of some kind... not usb unless... Maybe a micro? Ya gotta help me, man. Please. Tether does not work for the FZ300?

Hi Rob, Not sure about moving forward. But I can say that it works seamlessly with numerous programs other than with Lumix cameras. I use with StreamYard when I stream live every week. I use my S5 to use it as a webcam for my live shows and virtual zoom calls with team members. Never failed. Hope that helps.

This is probably old news but I’m trying to figure out how to set it up without the focus box being visible. I see in your video that the focus box is visible as well. I use the GH5 and have my camera connected directly through HDMI with a cam link USB cable. Everything works fine except for the focus box is still showing. What mode do I have to be in or how do I get that to go away?

Turn off the data transfer via HDMI. Go to menu - Setting (gear icon) - In/Out - HDMI Rec Output - Info Display - turn off That should do it. Keep me posted. Stay creative!

Hey Robert :) Im having an urgent issue with the Lumix Webcam Software. It was perfectly working until yesterday. I had a perfectly working system with the GH5 connected to my M1 mac (currently Sonoma 14.1) , and suddenly the Lumix Webcam Software disappeared from all the apps (I can't use it as a webcam since the device is not recognized, it doesn't appear on zoom, google meet, obs, etc). Tried reinstalling the Lumix Tether software, connecting, disconnecting the camera, etc. Nothing works. I think it started happening since I updated to the latest MacOS. Do you know how to troubleshoot it?

Ok, I hear youre problem and have shared that experience ever since Apple updated their IOS back in October or so. Lumix never updated its software on the back end and thus now Lumix cameras aren't recognized as a video source on the computer. I have since then researched and found a fail-safe solution. I use the Elagatoe CamLink 4K capture card - connect it to the HDMI of the camera - then USB to the computer and it turns ANY digital camera into a webcam. amzn.to/42UIt1d It doesn't rely on any LUMIX or priority camera brand software to be used or updated regularly. I've been using this solution of r 6 months now - works effortlessly on my MacBook (laptop) and iMac computer.
