Hello! I came across your video as I was searching for ideas on what to do with chemo curls. You really touched my heart! Many years ago, about 1976, I was diagnosed with hodgkins lymphoma. Surgery, chemo, and radiation followed. Of course, I lost my hair, but it grew back just as it was before chemo. Fast forward to 2017, I was diagnosed with non-hodgkins lymphoma went through chemo. My hair grew back curly, but the curl seems to be loosening. It will be two years remission August 23, 2019. You look beautiful and so does your hair! Stay strong!

Be grateful for every single strand that you grew back because my hair grew back but at least 5 times thinner. It's so thin, that you can still see my scalp. My last chemo infusion was 10/3/16. I am glad to have hair...period!!!

I’m 7 months out from my last chemo. My hair is so short and curly I’ve just been wearing baseball caps. I love your ideas, can’t wait to try them hope they look ok on me! I think mine it still to short to twist but I’m going to try! Headband idea is great too!

We love this! Mum had cancer (lymphoma) and has 6 months of growth now -not as long as yours is here, but she's definitely going to try this once it gets a little longer.

I like your Bobbie pin idea, I'm going to give it a try 😀 I just stopped wearing hats and beanies 2 days ago, after 10 months of being bald! I lost my hair 10 days after my first treatment! It hit me so hard, I wasn't expecting that feeling of loss when it fell out. I thought I'd be fine with it, ugh BIG NOPE! But I'm alive and ok now that's what's important! I have come across your video and my hair is a little bit longer than yours right about now, finished chemo in December 2020 and had to go through radiotherapy but just needed some inspiration on how to style it and your video has helped a lot and can I just say you are really beautiful and whichever way you wear your hair, you look great! 🥰🥰

Omg, first off you look beautiful! Second, I have been fighting with my chemo curls. I thought I was the only survivor going through this hair struggle. I have been using the mini pins since my hair started growing and curling up. I wanted to leave it pinless, but I don't like how it looks. Straightening out, forget it. It looks dry and brittle. I can't wait for it to grow more. Thanks again for the video!

thank you. My hair came back curly and instead of laying longer the curls just keep getting tighter. I have an elegant dinner party that I don't want to look like the granny with a perm. I have hearing aids that give feed back when I wear head bands but cute ideas. I might try 20's style headband with your ideas or pin it back. You're hair looks great.

Hi! Thank you so much for posting this video! I too am a two-time Non-hodgkin's Lymphoma survivor! My hair right now is a little shorter than yours in the video and I feel like I look like Little Orphan Annie too! It's super curly and I've been struggling with ways to style it. I like the idea of pulling it back with the bobby pins and using headbands. My hair before had body but nothing like this! It's so crazy.

Just finished my last round in July and it makes me happy to see people talking about this type of stuff openly and online! My hairs at about 1 1/2 to 2 inches right now and I have no idea what to do with it right now! I have a lot of wigs and I love them but I still want to find something to do with it

My Daughters hair is growing back now after Chemo. Her hair was always so strait it was hard to put curl in. now 3 months after chemo she looks like she got a jeri curl. I Hope hers grows out like yours did so pretty!!! Ill share your video with her.

Your hair looks great. My hair isn't straight or curly it's this weird wave and it just sticks out on the sides I always look like I just got out of bed 😏. I'm going to try the head band thing, thanks

Before chemo my hair was straight but frizzy and now it's so freaking curly, it's impossible to do anything with it. It was fine when it first grew back but as it gets longer it looks more like I have an afro 😂 this video really helps

super awesome I just got a bilateral double mastectomy a few weeks ago but finished chemo in late Jan early Feb this year, and now my hair grew back ridiculously thick and curly, but my question is , will it last for 10-20 years or will it change back to what it was before in a year or less? I dont want to get too attached to my amazing new hair if it only temporary. Does anyone know or have experience with this?

This was posted January 2017 and I had my last chemo done in January 2016 so I would say this is after a year. It's probably a lot longer when straightened too. Are you currently doing chemo?

I have Annie curly hair too buts it’s super thick! So my curls are tighter and I’m going nuts. I want to cut it shorter but then it won’t grow. Did u get haircuts when it was short?
