Thankfully I was not of the generation sent to Vietnam; however, my grandfather went there. He was force recon during the war. I do not know much of his service, but I ran into one of his friends who was in Vietnam with him. From what I got from him, it sounded like my grandfather did some crazy things from what I was told. He survived the war though, dealt with a divorce, stayed in the corp and made it to the rank of E7, and retired after 24 years of service. He still had time after service and became a detective. Sadly we lost him in 03 from cancer caused by agent orange.
