Strengthened my back considerably with yoga, pilates classes and doing the plank, and pleased to say my belly is now flat again. And yes, noticeable difference in my golf game, swinging playing without any twitches or pain at almost 70.

@@JulianMellor I had prostate cancer and the treatment particularly hormones injections really messed me up, weakened my core, which in turn weakened by back, and the injections led to massive fat increase mainly to my chest and stomach It took lots of will power, positive thoughts and 18 months of the exercises to get back in shape, so not a quick fix. But well worth it

There are bad backs and there are BAD backs. Muscles, ligaments degenerative discs, prior surgery etc…. Not all back pain is the same or at the same level of debilitation.

Hey Julian and Jo, I am a perfect example of years of that Bad swing. I had a Medial Block procedure last week. Resuming playing golf tomorrow. Julian I can play with no or very little pain using your proper golf swing! Also scoring better! Thanks again! Michael

Hopefully you’ve made a good recovery. If the swing is hurting you that must ring alarm bells for all golfers. Pleased that you’re benefiting from the PG method. So pleased for you btw

Good morning both, good to see you back on the tube. I enjoyed this one along with countless others you have put out there and can report back how much the content from your library has helped improve my game after a six year break from this fabulous sport. As a now retired greenkeeper I have sustained a number of back injuries over 40+ in my work, despite some discomfort I'm determined to improve my game and looking forward to more easier swing (classic swing) content. Many thanks ⛳️👌

Thank you both for such a helpful video. I will definitely take your advice seriously, especially as I am 64 years of age. I watch a lot of your previous videos and I especially appreciate Julian's easy effortless yet powerful swing. I try to emulate your tempo. Incidentally, yesterday I swopped my Big Bertha Alpha 816 for my wife's shorter, lighter beginner driver and hit thw ball just as far as with the BB Alpha. Also, using a slower easy rhythm neant my constant hook wasnt as destructive as normal. I wonder if an easier swing promotes a more natural instinctive chain reaction, especially on the downswing. I postulate that it is better than a deliberate action. Anyway, thank you both for producing and sharing such a wonderful video.☘️

Hi Julian 😊. Peter from Oslo, Norway here . Thanks for a Lovely video . I am 61 and after a long summer with golf 4 days in a week, my back pain, especially on the rib case in my right side in the midle of my back, is really hurting ! My Doctor says I have to pause for som weeks , and the golftrip to Spain with my friends is going to be cancelled 😢 Well, anyway, do you think «mowing/lifting» the left foot, and use more release with my hands help ? If so, is there a risk for the ball to flopp, go to high with less Compression and ball speed ? Looking forward to your comment ! Thanks 😊⛳️

Hi Peter, allowing the foot to move will certainly help but its impact that will be causing your issue. I don’t see any reason why you would need to stop as it’s a technique issue not so much a back issue. I can certainly help you overcome it. Distance isn’t an issue as we could do it online. Message us at julian@propergolfing.com if this is something you’d like Persue

Great video, I have a complete fusion of my lower back. Thanks for this video. I would love some help on what to do if you have had a total knee replacement. I just had my surgery a month ago. Thanks Again Julian

Thank you, I can certainly help you with your golf and work with your knee mobility rather than against it 👍
