Last time I took a bath, I streamed thunderstorm sounds on my iPad with lots of lit candles. The sound and the steam helped me to imagine that I lived in a cabin somewhere in the mountains in Latin America and wasn't freezing to death in the Ontario winter. Mini vacation! "Dreamcation"??

You and Terry are so funny, street AND school smart, you have that second degree sense of humor, man do I love your videos! I always learn something new or feel better after, or make a good decision for my lifestyle thanks to you. Whenever I take a bath I play music, burn candles or mirth powder and I often make a concauction with oils like coconut oil, and essential oils and baking soda. But what's really great about my baths is that my cat joins me. He sits on my tummy and purrs and this is so soothinggg...

I started bathing after being inspired by your detox night video! There's nothing better than a good soak, and I have a "better bath" by bringing fresh flowers in to the bathroom, reading a great book or writing down thoughts and ideas while taking a soak. Nothing gets the creative juices flowing like a really good bath :) Great video, you two - you never fail to brighten my day!

I suffer with a lot of stress and anxiety. And I find that baths are a way to cleanse the outside toxins are I feel are stuck on me from a really bad day. I usually drop 1 or 2 drops of lavender, light a whole bunch of vanilla scented candles and my favourite start playing Ben Howard's album. I believe that when you're taking a bath, its a time for reflection and for letting go. Baths cleanse away the nitty gritty and leave you feeling refreshed and ready for a new day. Awesome video Cass, you're amazing xx

I really love how you often use Terry as a demonstrator in your video! It makes the video a lot more entertaining than it actually is already! :D these are very very good tips here, Kassie! It's winter over here in NZ and I might just go take a bath tonight! Here are some tips on how to take a better bath from me: 1. Make yourself a cup of your favourite hot/cold drinks and bring it in (mine is green tea) 2. Play jazz/classical music 3. Light up a couple of candles

To take a better bath i also put on a face mask! I use french green clay with a few drops of tea tree oil. I also use bath salts, like sea salt and lavender, cause even tho i live in florida i cannot get enough of the salt water. There's nothing more that relaxes me. After I've been in the water a while i will run cold water to make me "feel" as you have mentioned in a previous video ;)

Whenever I take a bath I get really nostalgic because it reminds me of splashing around the tub as a kid so I often bring in a book that I used to read like The Babysitters Club series or Junie B. Jones. It sounds silly but it makes me think of simpler times when my worries were limited. I like anything lavendar scented so I make sure my body soak has a good amount of lavender in it. I keep things very simple when i take baths because as a perfectionist its easy for me to get frustrated when things don't go accordingly.

Thank you for this awesome video! :) I am a single mother a 15 month old so taking a bath isn't really an option let alone a decent shower. I remember taking a couple baths shortly after my sons birth to help with healing. My midwifery gave me a special bath mix. I do enjoy essential oils and herbs in my bath if and when I get a sitter. My son has a bath every other night and he has sensitive skin. I make his bath a couple hours before he gets in it. I put in a a mesh bag with chamomile petals, dried lavender and calendula pedals. It is almost like a tea. I let it steep in the hot water for a couple hours and once it is cooled down my son gets in. Not only does it really help his skin but it relaxes him and helps him fall asleep. Much love from London Ontario

I definitely agree that a bath is the ultimate relaxation for "me time." I made a crazy new years resolution at the beginning of the year to simply take a bath once a week to ease stress and enjoy that time! I haven't stuck to it though... I've been trying to enjoy them more often though before I go off to college and won't have this luxury available to me every evening! I splurged at Lush, and I am excited to try the bath salts! Sometimes I even light incense when I take a bath. I really like sandalwood and fig tree. Thank you for the lovely video!

I like to meditate before I get into the bath to really prepare my mind and body for the relaxation. Then while in the bath I will read. As the water loses it's heat I meditate once more before toweling dry and going to bed. I find I have the most relaxing nights, the greatest sleeps, and wake up feeling incredibly rejuvenated the mornings after I follow this bath time ritual. I am definitely going to incorporate candles and music :) Wonderful video, Kassie, as always. Thank you for posting :)

Your friend's bathtub is beautiful! When I take a bath, I like to incorporate soothing scents and sounds. I've recently been using a tangerine and bergamot aromatherapy candle that I received as a gift, but my favorite candle is black currant scented that I snagged at my local botanical garden's gift shop. Then I'll play some music, usually something tribal or Native American flute music. Both are so beautiful and relaxing! I'll sometimes do a face mask, but I've yet to find or make one that I really enjoy.

Hey Kassie, thanks for sharing as always! I really enjoy taking a detox bath once a week because I work in aquatics, so I expose my body to a lot of chemicals, and the constant dry-wet-dry experience can be fairly rough on my skin and hair. I love using bath bombs that are dynamic in color, sound or scent and I zone in on the sense stimulated by the bomb as a form of meditation. Sometimes I'll also play nature tracks (thunderstorms!) with brainwave synchronization if I'm feeling abnormally depressed or stressed out.

I'm so excited to move to my new place so I can have baths again! I actually find baths to be so relaxing that I use them in place of showers pretty often. If I don't have much time though, I fill the tub a little bit, and put a few drops of my favorite EOs. I leave the water running, get in, and use a wash cloth to clean myself. I also love the Dr Hauschka bath essences! It's a more active bath but still makes you feel incredible!
@abis707710 жыл бұрын
For me i like to choose my bath time as time for me to reflect on my day or just life in general because sometimes i think that in the heat of the moment we often don't take the time to reflect and think about how to handle situations better or even be a better person so for me that reflecting time would be when taking a bath, and that definatly makes my bath better!

Terry's singing legitimately made my day. I rarely take baths, but when I do, I love lots and lots of bubbles. I also find if weirdly calming to pretend to play the piano in the bath water. I like to keep my shower curtain half open and my iPod sitting on a stool playing a podcast. I'll spend at least 15 minutes in there :)

That company sounds simply amazing! Okay, my bath tip is something I started doing accidentally: when I was particularly stressed/particularly needing to wind down I (without thinking) listened to a certain album (The Secret Life of Arrietty OST) while taking a bath. It has become like an instant calm whenever I hear that particular music now. So I don't listen to it every time I take a bath, but it's like my secret weapon if I need to whip it out. Maybe this idea won't work for everyone, but I've really enjoyed it.
@jasnamandic10 жыл бұрын
my personal tips to a better bath essentially start off just like yours... light some candles, play some relaxing music, and dim the lights. As my water is running I like to exfoliate my face and apply a mask. Then I like to apply a warm oil mask to my hair. I then dry brush my body to get rid of excess dead skin cells. I use home made bath bombs most of the time, infused with licorice root and lemon grass... on lazy days, epsom salt and a few drops of lavender oil do the trick. insert happy thoughts here. the end. ps, your videos are amazing.. and the fact that terry partakes in your videos is super refreshing! take care cassie!

Terry is an absolute gem! I started taking regular baths with epsom salt after falling off a horse and injuring my spine to ease the pain (which it does guys!) But slowly, Ive added more steps to the bathing routine to make it more pleasant. I now bring my diffuser into the bathroom and I add a few essential oils such as eucalyptus, tea tree, rosemary or peppermint to it, which makes the air more therapeutic. I read, listen to classical/ soft music and sometimes I'll even snack! If I manage to get to a lush, I'll buy a few bath bombs, which are a luxury. Thanks for the video, Kass, love you always!

I love my baths, it is my personal time to relax and pamper myself. What I do to make it a better bath is just simply that I let go of all my worries and just let my mind go blank and focus on being in the now. Listening to the sound of the water when moving my hands through it and so on. Mindfulness.

To take a better bath I don't take them as much! I love them but when those bad days come, I feel good knowing I can go home and take one. I feel like if I take it too often, I won't enjoy it as much. I have a little stand in my bathroom where I keep my tablet and watch one show while I use a bath salt. I sometimes push in my cuticles too for a bonus. Thanks Kassie!

To take a better bath I have only candle light lit as well as my favourite incense. My favourite part of a bath though is going all the way under the water for as long as I can hold my breath. The complete silence and slight pressure of holding my breath is peaceful. I will close my eyes aswell, turning off most of my senses, which allows my whole body to just be still and at ease. Been doing this since I was little and I find a lot of comfort in the feeling.

The most essential part of a relaxing bath experience for me is definitely the music I play. I try to pick songs that are calm and soothing, yet powerful, so that they hold my attention. That way, I can lose myself completely in the music. It's very meditative and relaxing! My current bath time favorites are songs from The National, Bon Iver, Fields, and The Radio Department!

I have only recently gotten into baths. It started when I ended a 4 year relationship and I needed an escape from the drama and the second guessing. I picked up some bath balms and bubble bars from lush as an escape. I'll usually rinse myself off with the shower head first just incase, but then I'll light a candle, fill the tub, and read my book in peace. A few times I've made the mistake of bringing my phone with me, which is kind of sad. I'm hoping that my future baths will help me disconnect more with technology at least for a little while. I rely on it too much, and it also connects me to exactly what I am trying to escape from.

I get sooo excited everytime I see a new video from you appear in my subscription box. You radiate such good energy and your videos are so informative but very straight to the point and simple, with sometimes that little bit of comedy that we all need in our day (Terry does a great job! :P). I ADORE YOU! Totally gonna check out the bathory.. seems like such a neat concept! I have to admit, I hardly take baths at home.. I share my bathroom with a few other people and it'd be a bit of a headache to clean the bathtub every time I wanted to take a bath.. which is why I probably only bathe at home once every couple months... But, I have been traveling quite a bit lately and with the excuse of staying at a hotel, I find that there's nothing better than ending a long day with a nice warm bath. Best way to just wind down before bed, relax and clear my mind! Need to bring some aromatherapy along with me next time.. sure that'd only enhance the experience!

Just looking at Terry in this particular video was enough to give me a peaceful mindset, thank you XD. Your tips were great and it´s good to know you can customize your own bath concoctions. One thing that I do to relax myself is put some rubber ducks in the bath and let them float away as I try to take my mind off things. It might sound silly to some but it really helps me detach myself from the outside world. It´s just like looking at a fish tank, it gives off the same relaxing vibe.

I am personally long overdue on a bath and coincidentally scheduled one for myself just tonight! They're a big deal to me because I block off the entire world for at least an hour, maybe two if I have a lot of stress to soak away. It's my chance to pamper myself - face mask, hair mask, slowly scrubbing my legs and arms with a sugar scrub.. things that I just don't make time for during the busy week. With a glass of wine in hand, snacks by the tub, the lights off, music on, and just enough candles lit for me to see what I'm writing down in my small journal, I'm allowed to get out of the tub feeling at peace with life and like I've left everything stressful behind to spiral down the drain. Sometimes, though, it honestly doesn't take away everything bad around me but I at least have the chance to just breath and be in my own space for that one or two hour time slot...

I love to catch up on whatever I'm currently reading while I'm in the bath. So relaxing.

Amazing Video! I never thought of it, but it is true that my Bath Tub is my getaway in my own home. I also love how you said, "You wouldn't go to Mexico to do your Taxes, so don't take your problems to the Bath Tub!" Very true, and I now see taking a Bath in a whole new perspective. I will definitely be ordering from this company that you recommended. Thank you!

Whenever I take a bath I love to put orange blossom floral water in the tub because the smell is relaxing and it makes my skin soft, and I put on an audio book, and make a mug of green tea to sip throughout my bath. I don't do this often because of my hectic schedule, but when I do, it is just amazing.

I always play some music in the bathroom as well as having candles, really helps me unwind and de-stress.

That's totally true about not bringing you taxes on vacation so why take your troubles to the tub. My favourite time is right after I put my baby to bed; it really centres me and gives me a moment to focus on taking care of myself. Love your channel!

This was a great video! I'm all for baths and their relaxing qualities, and great tip about cleansing before so you don't just lie in your own filth! Haha xx ps. Super funny Terry!

I love taking a relaxing bath. I try to do it once a week, wish i could do it more but between work and school it doesn't always happen.Candles, my meditation channel on pandora and episom salts ( i switch between the lavender and eucalyptus) and just soak it in for as long as i can. On a side note, i love your videos. You do an amazing job of give great information and throw in some laughs :)

I know that this is very cliché but I do agree that reading a book detaches you from the real world and that's one of my favourite ways to have a better bath. I also tend to drink a lot of water as I don't want to feel dizzy or dehydrated. It definitely makes me feel really happy if I use some really nice luxurious products and spend a while pampering myself. I love watching your videos, keep it up x

It's the time of the year when a bath is all I want: finals are here! Because I get bored in a bath, I love to watch an episode of a Tv Show. Something light like Devious Maid. It actually helps me sleep better which kind of essential for me. I like a mask to cleanse my skin fully thanks to the steam :) Hilarious video like always!

Thank you for this video. Super enjoyable and a nice way to vicariously bathe as we don't have a bath where I live :P I have had a somewhat relaxing shower by bringing a lamp in to the bathroom (didn't have candles at the time) for softer light and played some classical music. I even sprinkled some bath salts on the shower floor, careful to not tread on them because they hurt to step on. It all made for a wonderfully relaxing time. Thank you again for the upload ♥

Awesome video!! Terry is the best lol. I am a huge fan of baths myself, one of the reasons we bought this house was because of the huge soaker tub lol. I light candles and use salts, bubbles, bath bombs or if I'm feeling dry I'll even add some oils and orange slices. I either read a book or listen to an audio book or sometimes just music. It's a big treat for a mom lol. My fiance will even tell me when I'm a lil frazzled looking "go take a bath" and will bring me tea or an occasional glass of wine. I don't normally drink so the wine is seldom but it's nice to feel pampered. Thanks for the video!

I like to light the room with candles, and i sometimes put a very small amount of coconut oil (a tablespoon or less) in the water when I run it, along with some essential oils, so that when I get out I don't have to do as extensive of a body moisturizing routine, and I smell delicious :)
