I am going to take cuttings of my Dianthus this weekend. After watching your videos, I have managed to get two Salvia Jezebel to root and two 2 shoots from a Dahlia tuber to root that I acquired 2 weeks ago - it’s a win win ! And hopefully stop my addiction of buying plants in GC!!!!!! Thank you for all your videos.

I use rooting powder I find they root quicker your way just as good BUT my way is best lol you have done GT video's this year GT for those just starting out in gardening thanks for your time 🐞🐦👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

Hi thank you for another very informative video. Would you treat these the same as your geranium video cuttings afterwards please . i.e by putting them on a sunny southside window? Also do they need to be in direct sun or indirect sun. And then do I just water and spray them with water until spring to put into my garden please? Thanks ever so much Natalie 😀

Always indirect sun Natalie and just make sure they don't dry out I never spray I am glad you liked the video good luck with yours

Why do you need to trim the tops off? Will it work if I don't trim the top leaves?

By trimming the the tops it stops them losing to much moisture before they develop their own roots I hope this helps thanks

Thanks for tips! I didn't cut my tops off so maybe that's why they are growing ok but very straggly, is it too late to snip the tops off now so they become bushy?

should cut the bottoms at an angle not straight accross
