I brought up my problems and struggles to my girlfriend when we were dating before I asked her to be my girlfriend. She respected my honesty and when I was able to get rid of it for a healthy amount of time we became bf and gf. Now we are very happy now that I'm over it. It's not the only problem couples can have but it's definitely a relief not having that.

I had the difficult conversation with my girlfriend about two months into our relationship. I was extremely blessed that she reacted with concern rather than anger towards me. I had been doing relatively well for the first month or so of our relationship before regressing but finally having it out in the open was very freeing after the reality set in. It's helped me swallow my pride and get additional help through group and individual counseling and really reshaped my life to hopefully put it to rest for good. Having that careful, intimate posture you talk about made all the difference in the world.

One of my friends have told me years ago that she struggled with the 'Dark Sin', a.k.a., pornography. She struggled with it for a few years, talked to me about it, and after a while she stopped talking about it as something that she struggled with; she started dating, told me that she had an honest conversation with her significant other about it--and then they got married. Well, after four years of marriage, they got divorced, due to emotional abuse. Lately, she has been almost talking to me in the same way that she used to when she was struggling-except she doesn't struggle with it, she seems to have embraced it. Our conversations used to be so spiritual, it used to be very Christ-centered. Now it's not anymore, and she has fallen away from the Church. I feel I need to have a conversation with her about where her values stand, cause I don't think it is possible to maintain a friendship if Christ is not the center of that friendship. This video has given me some good tips--I just don't know exactly how to begin this difficult conversation, or if I should. Please pray for us. God bless.

But it is also not necessary to share about it. You can solve it by yourself. I heard someone say, “Don’t ever bound all your happiness in just a cup of coffee.” A cup of coffee could be anything addictive. We all have to aim for not just good, but “greater good.” God is the “greatest good” and also the goodness himself. (Please read the initial quote again). Finally, God’s grace is sufficient for you.

How to talk about the things a person is searching for, secretly hoping for commonly, when they fall into p*nography is delicate space truly. Could you please make a video talking about how, when talking about this, a person may do something that is in relationship with the Lord or what they can say when they are calling their partner (instead of falling) looking for love. Maybe a prayer of love that they can pray together on the phone, with all the intimacies and longings and what they might express to the other and ask from the other. Is that at all possible? I agree with you, if we are only accounting for the will/strength of humans. I'd say these steps are fundamentally necessary, especially the bringing it to the Lord, during Adoration, during your prayers. One thing is certain: One cannot be given to the other fully, when he/she is a slave. Denying the shackles of slavery do not change the previous fact. (The common saying: "I can stop whenever I want...")
