That pickles dancing video is the first thing I ever saw from you guys and remains my favorite dance video to this day! Baby Olive’s new dance is looking pretty adorable though, I want to see more !

@@BirdNerdSophie yeah my little Buddy doesn't like to be filmed either, but I have managed to get a couple of quite good Videos of him, but usually the only way I can get him talking while I'm taping, is to be in another room, and then he doesn't know that I'm taping him, lol. 😅🤣🤗❤️

What great tips! I’m sure parrot dancing is going to be a favorite at our household for a perfect way to have even the youngest child interact with our cockatiel in a safe manner 😊

I never really had to train them to dance, it’s a behavior they just did naturally when they got excited. And they don’t only do it when they’re excited, they also sing and dance when they’re calm/sleepy/ fluffing but happy that I’m in the room.
@BirdNerdSophie2 жыл бұрын
Some parrots are natural takers for dancing! Others need a little encouragement haha 😊 our guys like to sing when they’re sleepy too!

I have starlings I hand fed from babies. Year & half later I got them talking. Now I'm trying to teach them to dance. I watched your video & I'm dancing around with them. If anyone saw me doing this I'd be mortified but it really has been a fun bonding experience. I will let you know the progress

Mine either reacts badly to music or ignores it. I want to see him dance because I'm always singing him the theme songs I've created for him. Maybe this dance will make him want to groove. Thanks Sophie ! (Awesome shirt btw 😍)

Hi Sophie, I have some super exciting news! My Budgie laid some eggs in the nesting box, her previous attempts were unsuccessful and the eggs fell out so I had given up because the make is 7 years old and I thought meh this won’t work. So I wasn’t really paying much attention to if they were laying more eggs but today I heard this high pitched chirp so I checked which of the birds made it but none of them did. I checked the nesting box and there was 4 eggs! The noise was coming from the nest box so I believe that it was coming from a lil baby bird in an egg! Don’t worry, I’ll take the box out after the eggs are done and they have 3 cuttlefish to nibble on! I keep an eye out for any kind of sickness! Maybe I can teach my grumpy cockatiel to dance 😂

Great video! Im actually wondering what you think about this: Most mornings, I open the door to the cage and my conure will run out to the top and start doing a similar little dance/walk to Olive's while "cheeping" 3 times in a row. I've been encouraging it by clapping along and chanting his name like a little dance! But Im wondering if this sounds like hes happy to be awake or something else? 🤔 (Just wondering if I should be encouraging it or not! He seems quite happy when he does it but yea haha)
@BirdNerdSophie2 жыл бұрын
Sound alike excitement! You can definitely encourage it but be mindful of the fine line between excitement and overstimulation!
