Been on keto 3 months no weight loss at all. On brink of giveing up 20g carbs a day reading every ones goals and how well their doing but nothing for me so fed up right now just bought provit ketones to help me but few days ago had vodka and coke still trying to get the bloat or weight off which I put on by just having a drink 3 lb on line over nite not even that seems to be coming off gutted thought this was going to be for me I even bake keto muffins and cookies in case I fancy and if u do it’s only ever one I can’t give up much more really than I already hav very disappointed with it all

The body is a machine. It’ll get used to eating a lot less fairly quickly. A tiny bit of carbs are ok (very little). However, what I definitely would do away with is the sugar. Again, the body adjusts quickly. Chocolate and other sweet tooth favorites taste awful after greatly reducing your sugar intake. It’s crazy. Good luck all.

I started doing keto two weeks ago. I was always super tired before now I feel more energetic during the day and around 10 at night I start to want to feel tired. I never slept like this before. I use to sleep all day. Now I'm up early in the morning do a jog. Im more focused. This is amazing. I also went from size 44 pants to size 40 in two weeks. Starting to fit into my size 38s. I eat about 20 grams of carbs a day. I have to force myself to eat now because I always feel full.

I’ve been on a Keto diet for 7 weeks and I’ve lost 40Ibs ! It has changed my life. I used to suffer with multiple skin conditions (eczema and dermatitis) and bad headaches (around 5 times a week- I was taking medication to combat these). I had blood tests and many visits to doctors but couldn’t work out the source of my headaches. Since ketosis I have stopped taking my medication and (once in ketosis as the first few days are prone to giving you headaches) I have not experienced a single one. The condition of my skin has also cleared. I no longer experience ANY of my previous issues. I NEVER would have guessed that all of my problems were down to my diet. My weight loss goal is large and I have a lot to lose. I am about 25% through it, but I can honestly say ketosis is the best decision of my life.

Have been on Keto for about 5 months and have lost 27lbs which is great but not the main reason that I love the Keto lifestyle. What has been the best side effect for me is the "calming of my brain." I have dealt with depression and anxiety since I was 12 and this diet works better than any anti-depressant I have ever tried (and I have tried tons). Over the holidays I overdid the carbs and woke up one morning with the familiar feelings of depression and despair. That was enough to get me back on the keto bus and within 3 days my mood started to improve and everything was not so dark and scary.

I started keto on Dec 26 2018. Down about 11 lbs. I stopped my statins and cut my thyroid meds in 1/2. Saw my doctor last week then did lab work. Now my doctor wants to see me soon to talk about cholesterol and thyroid. This is the 1st time in about 12 years that my muscles and joints haven't ached. I sleep better, have better focus and I'm hardly ever hungry. I don't crave junk food. My portion size has decreased and down to one meal a day with almost no snacking. When I get the hunger pangs, I drink a little water and they go away. I've had one migraine but I think that might have been caused by dehydration. I'm never going back to my old eating habits.

I was diagnosed last Tuesday with Diabetes. My doctor told me it was completely reversible if I got my weight down and changed my eating habits. He suggested the Ketogenic Diet. So I started the minute I walked out of his office. Last week was hard trying to find foods I already had at home to eat, but I was able to find a 5 day easy Keto soup diet that I could stick to. That has given me a few days to research and find recipes my family will eat. I am down 6 pounds as of yesterday. I'm really excited about this life change. Thanks for the video. It was helpful.

I noticed that the main problem many people who try Keto have is that they don’t have a step by step action plan, what foods to eat, what to avoid, amount of carbs allowed, etc. You may have a clearly goal in mind but if you don’t follow a plan it is likely that you will fail. That’s why is very important to follow a program that can get you through your first month, because believe me, that’s the toughest one!! But if you can make it through that first month, after that it becomes so much easier.

I agree with you Melany Saturday was my 6th attempt at it. I failed by end of day 2 mostly. Then I realized I needed to draft a plan and boy am I excited. First I got the app Carb Manager, second I researched A) What I should eat B) Alternative for what I love to eat ( pork rinds for chips sugar free werthels candy) 3) I went shopping for a month's worth of food going places like dollar Tree to stay within my budget 4) Before I eat ANYTHING, I put in my app what I will eat per meal PLUS Snacks PLUS spices Finally 5) I set a date for when I want ro check my weight loss. I know I'm only at the start but I already know I'll be ok and pull through this time!!! A program is EVERYTHING.

MyFitnessPal is excellent for this. Change your macronutrients to 5% carbs, 25% protein, 70% fat. I log in what I eat and I can clearly see what I need to eat more of.

Im 47 years old and am a stage 2 diabetic. I started the keto diet 2 weeks ago but just got into ketosis. I am currently feeling the keto flu. I saw a video that said supplementing your diet with salt can help the head aches and flu like symptoms. I tried it tonight and it really did help. My head stopped pounding withen minutes.

A really great way to get into Ketosis really quickly is by going on a One Keto Meal A Day diet. Intermittent fasting has been proven to regulate hormones, deplete glycogen stores over the span of 12-24 hours (depends how much is stored) and significantly increases human growth hormone production by up to 2000% for males and 1300% for females. Exercising also depletes glycogen stores. If you do about 45 minutes of resistance training you'll deplete glycogen in your muscles. Fasting for a good 18 hours will deplete liver glycogen stores and is a great way to start your keto journey. I wish everyone good health, longevity, and prosperity.

I have just started keto diet though without any doctor's assistance but so excited to hear about the diet and I was suffering intense coughing which no medicine cured cure. When I started the diet the very next day I found myself in a much better health and my coughing was gone. Thai gave me inspiration to learn some some more and find ways to continue

I've had 2 babies in a span of 2 years and I've gain lots of weight. I've started kept and rebounded by giving into my cravings when life got tough. The sweeter the food is the more comforting it is to me. I need to change my mind set and take control of my mind and body. I've started again today and I'm sticking with it.

I really noticed the change in urine smell really fast. Very strong. I also have been experiencing weakness in my legs when I walk very much. Went on a short hike yesterday and my legs were quivering when we got done.

Yeah gotta cut the oatmeal and bananas in order to be keto. Look up the carb count on those. But great job doing IF. In that case, you can eat whatever you want, just only within the IF designated period of time.

I started keto on May 30th, I’ve lost 13lbs so far and I love it! I’m in my 6th year of menopause and I hate it. Lol I’m looking forward to losing my menapausal belly, which I learned is from insulin resistance and estrogen. It already looks flat compared to 2 months ago, but I want to lose at least 20 more lbs.

Update: now almost 3 years since I started the healthy keto diet, I’m completely belly free! I’m down to 125 lbs from 163 lbs and now energetic and healthy enough to workout without fatigue or worrying about what the “scale” says. I’m almost ready for a tan and a swimsuit that doesn’t look like maternity wear. I’m extremely happy and looking forward to summer ☀️

It's been 2 weeks since I started this diet (which I like to call lifestyle) but I don't have any of this problems, except for the smelly pee. I've noticed that I'm more focused, energetic and I'm less hungry. During my high carb lifestyle I was always tired, irritable and always craving for more food. Now I don't even miss all the sugary stuff I used to eat before, and I'm more relaxed and happy. Also my sleep improved. Before I had problems falling asleep but now after five minutes I'm in Dreamland. This kind of lifestyle saved me from diabete (Sorry for my English, I'm italian)

I had insomnia the first week or so. Today, the start of week 3 and after several days of consistent keto eating, I woke up at 7am fully energized and not hungry. Since starting, I have to remind myself to eat.

I am starting a keto club here where I live in Aitutaki in the Cook Islands as we have a very big issue with obesity! I am using your video to help explain ketosis and how to know you are in ketosis. I started keto in March, 2022. I wanted to reverse insulin resistance initially. I have lost over 20 lbs and am actually under my goal weight by several pounds. I feel so much better and have not cheated even once. Sugar and junk food no longer appeal to me. I eat very clean and was eating no more than 20 total carbs per day, but now I'm in maintenance and allow myself up to 30 total carbs per day. A few days I've gone over that and ended up bloated and miserable, so I think 30 total carbs is my maintenance number. I have never checked my blood sugars or ketones since starting. I was very anti-keto for a long time, but now I'm a believer.

Thanks for the great info. I been doing keto since middle of Feb this year. I've lost 19 pounds so far. I surely had the keto flu,,but I'm passed that now. I finally learned to take some potassium and magnesium supplements. I use the powder,,calm,everynight before bed. But I feel much better,,as you said more energy and clarity!! Keto for about 20 weeks, as well as some form of IF, been doing OMAD for about 2 months. I used to sleep like 9 hours a night and often wake up groggy and confused. I'd also get sleepy in the early afternoon and sometimes take a nap. Now, I sleep 6-7 hours per night and never get sleepy during the day. Oh, and I don't have to get up and pee during the night like I used to. Before keto I would stop drinking fluids 2-3+ hours before going to bed and still have to get up and urinate once or twice during the night. One drawback (if you can call it that) is I have to keep a vigilant eye on my sodium intake. If I don't get enough sodium, I will quickly feel it when I exercise. First, my shoulders start to ache, then I get out of breath with minimal effort. So, I measure out 1 tablespoon of kosher salt each morning and consume it throughout the day: 1/4 teaspoon per 16oz tumbler, 1 teaspoon in my one meal.

Take vitamin supplements, very important , eat fats like butter in your coffee , cream cheese on pork rinds , bacon, eggs , ground beef with diced vegetables and peppers mixed in , eat till you are full , fast for eighteen hours and eat in that six hours then stop for another fasting of eighteen hours or longer or more for a day or two!

I have been doing Keto for two weeks. I cut carbs, sugar, and gluten on day one and ate only meat, fat, and veggies. I lost a pund a day for 8 days, leveled off to about one third to one half pound a day. I had fatigue, cramps, and headache, and dizziness. But also focus, increased energy, and less appetite, and a sense of well being. I am still learning what to eat to keep fat to protein levels where they need to be. Eating veggies. I also eat just a little bit of fruit though it is frowned on (in the morning). I find it helps lesson the 'icky' feelings you get when you go into Ketosis. What amazes me, is that the western diet is carbs and sugar, when the human diet should be meat, fat, and veggies.

Lost 83 pounds since March, almost a year! I can't believe I'm actually losing this much weight. I have only 20-30 pounds left to go to reach my goal. After that it's time to build muscle. I'm pretty good at holding back cravings. But pizza and meatball/chicken parm sandwiches are my weakness. Hey once in a while is good. Still lost the weight!

The insomnia and diarrhea are my main issues after 4 days I have lost 60 ibs within a span of 4 months with a normal diet and ive decided to do a keto diet to expedite the process I still have a long way to go. Thanks so much for the information.

I think you have to kind of feel around until you find what works for you ,not everyone could use the cookie cutter keto diet. your not alone we are all experimenting. BUT IT'S WORTH THE RESULTS

I love the Keto Diet. I was first on it in 2018 and lost 42 lbs in 6 weeks. I went off the wagon, so to speak, but recently got back on Keto on July 15, 2020 at 238 lbs. As of August 15, 2020, I weigh 215 lbs. I feel pretty good, but I have not had much appetite and no cravings for a week now. I have to force myself to eat some days, but I eat very little recently. I am working my way down and currently happy with my 23 lbs weight loss. I still have a way to go and my first major goal that I want to accomplish is to get down below 200 lbs. I know I will do it soon. I have faith in myself and pray on it every day.

Yeah but when you are in keto you REALLY notice it. Especially if your a guy and you begin to pee. You immediately smell it before it hits the toilet and it's not your normal pee smell. It's like a strong odor. Hard to explain, but you know when you smell it.

After a few months of being in ketosis,the bad breath thing goes away completely,which makes me think that bad breath is linked to sugar.

I started Keto in November 2019. As of March 2021 I have lost 80 lbs. Most of that was shed in the first 9 months of eating Keto. Now I continue to slowly lose small amounts of weight. I feel amazing and am now having family members ask for guidance and support in changing to a Keto way of life. This has been an exciting journey. Not easy...but exciting and so worth every moment.
