Nice how-to video! One thing I learned from my own trial and error was a point you made, when you throw the net, make sure it is at an upward angle. It makes all the difference.

Yes, it really does help get a better spread!

Thank you for your video. Got an EZ cast 4' radius and after couple throws for the first time got some bait fish at Seymour Johnson Fort Fisher (retired US NAVY). With others I've tried many time and failed. But you motivated me and at 66 years old a new avenue has been achieved.

Thanks for the tip just picked up an 8FT and have struggled to get it to open. Will try that next time I’m casting.

Does this net generally throw farther than the regular cast net without the frisbee?
@KayakhacksFishing27 күн бұрын
I like the ones without the frisbee. They are easier to manage with my throwing technique. To answer your question, you need to compare your personal technique with the frisbee - it might be easier for you to throw.

You keep calling it a "6 ft net". It's actually a 12 ft net. I have the same net in the 14 ft size... 7 ft long while setting it up. It's hard not to swing and twist like a regular net. The ring is awesome once you figure it out. Thanks!

Yes, 6 foot radius. Thanks for putting the clarification out there

Frisbee not required, the exact same motion and rotation is achieved with the identical technique and no stupid frisbee.
