Perfect demonstration Colette !!! We have to get no-spin in to movies thats for sure !!!
@Xolette9 жыл бұрын
+Adam Celadin Heck yeah! You need to be in a movie and show of those no-reload moves! Also, I would hope that a movie would popularize real throwing knives, like Sharp Blades. The knives they throw in the Hunger Games movie look like the cheap 8" ones they sell online.
@whyguygin9 жыл бұрын
+Xolette I can't think of any movies with no-spin throws, but Kahlan from Legend of The Seeker throws many (if not all?) that way. In fact in slow motion that appear to have zero rotation lol but maybe that's a mother confessor power.
@higurashianduminekoconnect17023 жыл бұрын
@@Xolette actually the one that gets me in movies as when they throw it with a guy that already has a gun aimed at them because it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that's not possible because any sudden movement would be a red flag to the person aiming the gun Samantha even reach your hand up and notice the knife about to be grown they would probably shoot the person never understood that and feelings I was like that's stupid they stood there and let them throw the knife at them
@higurashianduminekoconnect17023 жыл бұрын
@@Xolette also I would love to see a movie where somebody actually goes to throw a knife or like a bad guy and then they get shot before they could I think I'd be a cool scene makes sense who's going to not notice person about to throw a knife
@XoletteLife3 жыл бұрын
@@higurashianduminekoconnect1702 You should look up The John wick knife throwing scene. There's a point during the scene where they're just throwing knives and hear a lot of clanging/knives missing their target, etc-- I love that much more than a perfect knife throw in a movie. Plus, many of throws look like no spin from a close distance-- much more realistic.

+Xolette aren't the books great? :D I actually was kinda confused as to what her whole point was at the end but it finally clicked for me a week or two after finishing them. war, while sometimes necessary to prevent worse evil, is a game that has no victor, only survivors. at least that's what I took away from it.
@Xolette9 жыл бұрын
+CarBENbased For me, it was more that 1st world countries represent the Capitol, and 3rd world countries represent the Districts. For example, China has an inexpensive labor force manufacturing US goods and they're suffering from pollution (since they're companies don't have the same environmental regulations as in the US), low wages, long hours, child laborers, etc. That's why I get confused as to why some of the fashion guru KZbinrs promoting the Mockingjay Part 2 focused on "Capitol Fashion", when that excessive materialism is the big evil in the story. But yes, I love the books. :)

Welcome to my world... Nice job... One of our favorite tricks for film are "whip pans". The knife will already be rigged with an appliance that makes it look like the knife is embedded in the victim. So the actor or performer throwing does the action of throwing then camera will pan very quickly from the performer to the victim the knife already stuck in him/her.
@Xolette9 жыл бұрын

Dear Xolette, I have been your fan since the beginning and you've helped me once before ((to find knives)) seeing I live in Australia. And thankfully I was able to! The problem I have though is they're 6 Inches long, by a brand called "eagle eye" and no matter what distance I try sometimes they stick sometimes they don't. Please make a video on 6 inch Knives it would mean the world to me
@Xolette9 жыл бұрын
+Bailey ooo Wow, that means a lot! As for the 6 inch knives, I wouldn't make a video on it, only because, I hate 6 inch knives! :) But, you can follow the basic rules I show in this video... you just have to stand a whole lot closer to the target-- for a half spin throw, throw holding the blade, and you'll have to be standing 1.5 meters - 1.75 meters from the target. Stand at an angle from the target to avoid direct ricocets. With those tiny knives, you're in danger of ricochets flying quickly back at you. Check out my "Best Beginner Throwing knives" video and read the description for knives I recommend. Good luck!

Hey xollette! I was wondering if I could make a video request! I notice how your really talented and your probably an outdoorsy person, but for people who aren't it isn't as easy to be very good with self defense. What I'm trying to say is, could you make a video of throwing common household items? If a person is supposed to take advantage of their surroundings in a life or death situation, then it would be really helpful if you showed us how to throwing common household items such as scissors, screwdrivers, letter openers, etc...!! I'd appreciate it! Thanks, your awesome!!!!!!
@Xolette9 жыл бұрын
+Mark Razo You can throw any item as long as it has a point or edge. So any of my videos that talk about rotational throwing, like this one, would work, and my video "How to Throw Spikes" will also be able to give you insight on how to throw no spin. I also have a video called, "Throwing Needle-nose Pliers". And lastly, I'm working on a video that will give tips on throwing from a long distance. Good luck!

You are so cool, I wish I could do this!! What age did you start knife throwing and how long did it take you to master? Plus, is knife throwing hard to learn?
@XoletteLife4 жыл бұрын
No, it's not hard to learn. I have a beginner knife throwing playlist that could help you out! Traditional knife throwing is a bit easier than no spin knife throwing in my opinion (although, my accuracy needs a ton of work), but I like no spin much more. Good luck!

I can throw with rotational very well and half spins, but I can not, for the life of me throw with no spin. I've been throwing with rotation since I was 9 ( I'm 15 now ) and thats all I can do. I tried and succeeded at this reproduction of her throwing in my first 3 tries :)

I sure would like to see if you can make a Lower back 10 blade smooth magnet left and right handed garter belt. Sheath/Holster You're A+ on DIY.

That sounds like you'd hurt yourself if there were no sheath! Interesting idea though with the magnets!

If you're trying to become ambidextrous I've learned that your off hand can learn from how your main hand does the work. I try more of a nerves first method of learning ambidexterity by trying to get my brain and body to teach the other side of itself how to do something. If you already know how to throw knives well with your right arm, you already know the skill, you just need to teach the nerves in the left arm everything that the right arm is doing.
