cool idea with the knots videos. I prefer a improved albright to a blood knot for rods with small guides though - the blood knot has tag ends that come off perpendicular and get smacked around by the guides too much, affects cast distance on lightweight lures and makes the line snap much earlier than normal due to ongoing damage right on the knot. The improved albrights tag ends naturally sit flush against the mainline and leader - so theres alot less of a "bump" as it goes through the end guides (takes the same amount of time to tie) they both eventually fail - but the albright outlasts the blood knot about twice as long in my own experience when your casting lures alot when sight fishing etc (same deal with a uni-->uni join - perpendicular tags ends arnt great to have)

Best connection knot for braid to mono
@curackerburolley75276 жыл бұрын
i've always wondered if the double uni knot was a better knot over all, it can join two lines of differing diameters and is easier and faster to tie (for me)
@jordang706 жыл бұрын
I use the uni seems to be decent

Today we are on the lookout for some of the most ferocious beasts imaginable, lurking in our ponds and lakes. There is a particular river monster that local fishermen claim has two sets of teeth that are like little razorblades, with more than 120 flesh tearing teeth in it's threatening mouth... today we go after the killer tadpole.

Hey Jeremy here is an easier way to tie a blood knot. Take the 2 ends and tie them together with a simple knot. Next follow the instructions to tie a dropper loop: kzbin.info/www/bejne/p5rYqJulrtGnmNU (not my vid and you can just search for how to tie a dropper loop and use any of the many videos) now just tie a dropper loop with Knot connecting the 2 ends in the middle of the loop. Just cut the loop off after cinching it tight and you have a blood knot! I say it is easier because a dropper loop requires less dexterity than tying a blood knot; The thinner the line the more this is true. When I searched for how to tie the dropper loop I found 1 video that claimed they could tie a dropper loop in under 30 seconds and 1 that claimed to be able to do it in 10 seconds. Well my uncle who has Parkinsons can tie a dropper loop in under 30 seconds. I tie it using my mouth in about 3 seconds.
