Man, thank you so much. I had my black 1st dan exam this week on Sunday, and when I went to training the next day, I couldn't tie the belt as it was too rigid and thick. So thank you because you saved me from walking in the streets looking stupid.

Cool video! Saw a couple of new ways. I once trained at a school that had a unique way of tying the kyu ranks and a twist that improved it at Dan level. Kinda like the first example in your video, except the bottom hanging part would be looped again and when tightened have a pinch on the left(male) or right(female). 🥋

I watched 7 diffrent videos of how to tie a belt, I've been trying to tie my stupid fucking belt for an hour now and I want to strangle myself with it, cuz I can't seem to tie it the right way even tho I follow everything

I have a orange belt, and until 2021 I either asked my father to tie it, or it would look like a complete mess 😅 I still have a orange belt at the moment, (had it for like 3 years) but if everything’s going well, I have exam in February, and I’m the only, since according to my Sensei, the level of the other orange belters isn’t high enough for an exam. I hope to get blue, but I would be happy enough to get green :)
