Using a Power clip in lieu of a snap swivel will mitigate the issues of the snap swivel opening up. Usually you need to try a few different lures and baits to test what's preferred by the fish.

Ethan A hi Ethan I've always used a version of the blood knot. But the uni knot is also a good one it just depends on what is easier for you to tie. Cheers for the comment.

Trequel Alston probably not mate. If you want to use a snap just connect it straight to the lure. This knot is to be used instead of a snap.

Nice knot but definitely not a Perfection Loup! A Perfection Loup was designed to attach tippet to leader, as in fly fishing!
