The action on the marabou jigs are irresistible to steelhead/browns and salmon. Great demonstration, Bill. Jig bite will only get better as the cold weather hits.

Just found your channel and have been watching some of your videos.Ok what I am about to say isn't meant to be derogatory in anyway.I tie alot of micro jigs and small streamers that i use for White and yellow perch my target species.However these jigs work on all types of panfish and trout.The point i am trying to make is the use of bait tipped onto the jig.I can understand that completely.In my experience there are times i simply won't catch perch unless I tip my jigs with a grass shrimp or a minnow.However there are times when these fish get charged up and no bait is necessary.I understand the purist theory of many anglers who refuse to use baits or scents.The purpose for this comment is when your go fishing the object is to catch fish and sometimes you have to do what it takes.Enjoy your content.Btw i can use a whip finish tool, but haven't mastered palmering feathers just yet.Once you master a whip finish tool it's like riding a bike.I have to admit it's an intimidating tool at first glance.Happy holidays.😂New subscriber.

@@BillMikesAnglingAdventures Happy Holidays as well. It's catching not fishing.Also fishing 🎣 isn't a spectator sport. Nothing worse than watching other people catch fish and your going crazy scratching your head, changes lures a thousand times trying to figure out what your doing wrong.

Interested in the Jig hook strength you are using. Unless I use hooks like Gamakatsu, Owner, 2x hooks we have problems with hooks bending especially in rivers with current like here in the Pacific Northwest. We have to use a little heavier line for the fresh ocean run fish in strong current and apply more pressure to land fish in many conditions which bends lots of regular jig hooks. Always looking to try another product for quality and value. Nice video thanks.
@BillMikesAnglingAdventures

thanks man✌️ they say the hooks are 3x - never had one break or bend even using them for king salmon heres a link for the jig heads - voodoocustomtackle.com/About-Us_ep_7.html

Hey Bill, you planning on fishing tomorrow (Sunday) before the Bills game? Might make a trip to fish an Erie trib or stick to Burt dam. Cayuga is probably the closest to me, fished it in town before below the dam and a bit downstream from there. Haven’t fished it any of the lower stretches. Trying to find a place where Michael can fish as well, somewhere where there is a deeper pools and slow current like in your last couple videos.

Just found your channel. I would like to know if you’ve ever used those flies in Alaska for sockeye? I don’t know if you’ve been there to fish for sockeye, but there they “floss” aka attempt to snag the sockeye in the mouth. I’ve been there last two years and always thought about using a jig to get hook down on their level
