That actually turned out really good looking. Great choice in tile/layout.

Been loving the large format trend going on in the industry. It looks amazing!

To raise the drain grate, can you remove the grate screws and spin up the drain threads without interfering with the tiles?

That’s a great point 👍

Dear Bathroom Remodeling Teacher, I’ve been watching your videos on this Tile Redi system…good stuff. Will need to contract out a job in maybe a 8 months. I’m really concerned about water becoming trapped between the tile and pan from content on another content provider you’ve collaborated with (T.C.). Has me worried but this system here seems to help with labor skill level versus risk. Question: In your video you show vertical interrupted drain thread slot to help with drainage for any water that finds its way between the tile and pan; but you also showed applying thinset bridge under the square drain, will this block off the weeping capability of water under the tile from reaching the drain??? Or is it a property of the type of thinset being used loris to water? In the T.C. video during his forensic tear down of a failed Kerdi system the thinset was globular and had massive pools of trapped water. Anyway, great content but if you could please reply with comments I’d appreciate it. I want to contract out a job to tear out a tub and replace with shower but all the failures I’ve seen and variability of contractor skills has me contemplating just staying with a tub (senior citizen killers lol). Thank you!

Why did didn’t you cut the height of the bottom back wall pieces, so that the next level would match the bottom edge of the niche? Also could you add pressure treated wood blocking into the gaps under the curb, to set the shower wall screws (especially if there is a heavy door)?

What brand and model drain is this? I have a tile ready base that was custom made and cannot find a drain that sits flush against the receptor like yours is. HELP!!!

Is BRT loosing some weight? 👀 Every pound counts at our age and super important for overall health wellbeing. Looking younger for sure. Keep it up Steve. Now back to tile ... did you ever tried cutting tile with that Fein grinder shroud? It has a wider support and could theoretically keep grinder steady on the tile for potentially straighter cut. Also, are those polishing pads also from Levelin? Nice video! 👍

😝 thanks for noticing…I never had to pay attention to what I eat till now 😂 i definitely feel better overall. But yes, dust shroud and dust extractor is the way to go., I just wanted to demonstrate this whole shower being done with less expensive tools. A Milwaukee cordless grinder isn’t cheap but more practical tool to buy and have for DIYers. And yes all the blades and pads are levelin. I was really blown away at how inexpensive they were and how good they worked. Did the entire bathroom with one blade & set of polishing pads 👍 $69

Can you tile real bathrooms? People would pay you to do it and you don’t have to trash a nice bathroom. Idk just a thought.
