Hi, I like to trade EURUSD because: 1) Better leverage 2) Better commission rates 3) I cannot follow news of all countries. So Euro and US news is always on headlines. Also events are quite clear. It allows me to have a fundamental view as well. 4) Fear that something will happen in that other country and I wont know about it until way too late. 5) Lack of knowledge what moves the markets. I fell that there are things that move the market. Especially on smaller timeframes. Thanks for the amazing videos and thoughts. Your efforts are very well appreciated. Cheers

The Eur/Usd is like a 22, it is used by beginners and experts. I am newly looking at this pair and haven't traded it for years because of it's tendency to chop and not yield much profit. Despite that, I like the low low spread and it allows me to trade with more, I just shoot for smaller profit targets. If it goes against me, I simply cut and wait for a better set up for re-entry, Timing is also critical when trading this pair..........................

Very interesting and thought provoking as although I do occasionally trade the euro dollar. I am a trader in the UK, and as such very early in my relationship with the EUR/USD it became blatantly clear to me that the best time to trade it here (UK) was between 10am and 2pm (GMT) "Before" the US market opened. Once the US market became active, the charts became very erratic and extremely hard to utilise any strategy at all. Your comments would be much appreciated.

Lots of valuable information for the new traders and old traders needing a re-fresh in these videos. I do believe most markets are actually manipulated to some degree, and liquidity or stops would be the main reason to target same. One thing I always think about is "timing". How often have you been right but the PA goes in the opposite direction, before hitting your original objective, sometimes for days.. Do the banks manipulate EU, yes they do, do they manipulate most pairs yes they do... But the goal or objective is to make money or take profit from the dumb money.... Keep up the good work VP, I needed the re-fresh myself...

I thought that trading the most popular pair was a good place to focus my attention but I can see how well that has worked out for me. Some of the reasons I focused on this pair was because of the liquidity, popularity, and transparency in position sizing because its risk is in my home currency. Have definitely been realizing how manipulated this pair is though.

Fantastic Content! Just starting Forex. Dabbled in stocks, options, and recently crypto. Been learning technical analysis in the crypto market from a former professional wall street trader. BTC was so flat and boring for the last month or so I decided to look at FX. Glad I did. Been up on a demo account for three weeks and have been already following a lot of your teaching. Confirms what I'm doing. The ATR was new to me so thank you ! I'll watch out for the EUR USD. The only thing I do that you don't recommend is that I will sometimes open up 2 to 3 positions on one currency if it reaches my entry. I average around 5 positions open every day. I use the day chart and close at the end of the day and then reset my entry's for the next day. I have been debating if this will work out better than letting positions run for multiple days looking for that specific numbered target. From a bit of backtesting it looks to be about even. Anyway, keep the vids coming and thanks for bringing the knowledge !

I don't really have a favorite, but what I do I choose the 1 most liquid Major (NO USD lol) and pair it with the Minors. so I get volatility and wherever my TA looks beautiful and understandable, I trade there. The reason I choose Major and Minor is that I aim for volatility and when there is volatility there is a risk and you don't even have to leverage at the same time there is huge opportunity.

Why trade EU? low spread - good for day trading (VP has revealed he's a longer-term guy -D1 only) - about 3 of 5 days during the week, EU has an obvious trend for day traders. In fact sometimes the trends are so obvious, I'd have to say someone who loses money on these days really doesn't have a clue about trading... with the low spread you can easily switch gears... when it has a good trend, usually it is not worth trading any retracement... will say that the choppy consolidation days are more of a challenge... During these, you're best off entering and exiting at pivots and mid-pivots(very important!)... Price really does bounce off pivots... So these are the reasons why. And day trading avoids consolidation during the night and any surprising movements during the Asian session. I will say that EU has some unexpected spikes sometimes, but these are usually related to the news - really it is better not to trade in a techno-vacuum. but as VP points out, don't trade the news...

Yes - keep out of the Euro before major news - it almost always ranges horribly in the run-up. Non-farm Fridays can be particularly bad before the announcement. August is often not worth trading. Otherwise, we've found it pretty profitable for scalping and day-trading.

Exactly. I think is all about the trading system. EU is the best for day traders. the trends are so easy to identify.

Very true comment, but other pairs have these spikes as well ;)
