I became my Grandpa’s fishing buddy all my life. Dear Grandma would help with the boat and then sit all afternoon on the shore’s edge reading. We fished lil’ ponds, lakes and as I grew older and more capable, the ocean. Fond memories. A fisher of men, formally on Sunday but always made time for the fish, bait, and me! 😁♥️🙏🏻

Amen. I thank my parents any chance I can. I've made many bad choices in my adult life but God humbles me and I understand more and more the example my mom and dad set for me and my siblings in Christ.

27 years ago my Aunt from Coppell, Tx when my daughter, in which I raised alone was 3, she sent my your book and I was so blessed to have read it and put all suggestions to good use. Then gave it to my oldest daughter that was having problems with her oldest. Sure helped beyond my expectations. Thanks Michael and Debbie for writing this book.

My wife and I did our best with what information we had at the time. Our Daughter has soured concerning the whole issue of God, and the proper way to Worship. On his Sabbath! She’s Mo out of the house, and playing house, with a man that has proposed to her, but they have not actually married yet. We continue our prayers for salvation and obeisance to God’s word.

I see you deleted the comment you don’t like. You don’t need to train your child like a dog. Kids learn from the way they see their parents act and learn from teaching. You say to beat children like mules. I’ve raised 3 children without spanking or any type of corporal punishment. All three are wonderful young adults who have great jobs and are good happy people. The older has graduated college and works with children with autism the middle child is graduating this year with a business and culinary degree and already has bought a restaurant and the youngest graduating from high school 2 years early and is going to Harvard on a full scholarship. They are very caring and love helping people and I couldn’t be prouder. I was a single mom for most of their upbringing and we didn’t have a lot of money but they did have a lot of unconditional love.

Yeah I can see the clear effects of this not being implemented in my life as a Child. As a man, now I don't even want to talk with my dad. Always complaining, always in a bad mood, unless he's drunk. When I do mention something, he always shoots it down, especially if it's something about Jesus. I find it better to just not talk to him at all if he's going to respond negatively every single time I say something. I truly wish I was never born

James 3:17 The wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere. Luke 11:9 I tell you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. Luke 11:11 What father among you, if his son asks for a fish, will instead of a fish give him a serpent? Luke 11:13 If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him! James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. Proverbs 19:20 Listen to advice and accept instruction, that you may gain wisdom in the future. Proverbs 4:27 Do not swerve to the right or to the left; turn your foot away from evil. John 8:31-32 Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. John 13:35 By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another. 1 John 2:10 Whoever loves his brother abides in the light, and in him there is no cause for stumbling. James 4:11 Do not speak evil against one another, brothers. The one who speaks against a brother or judges his brother, speaks evil against the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge. Luke 6:37 Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven; Ephesians 4:32 Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you. Colossians 3:12-13 Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. James 2:13 For judgment is without mercy to one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment. Matthew 5:7 Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy. Galatians 5:22-23 The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. 1 Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain. Isaiah 40:30-31 Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. 2 Corinthians 4:16 So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. Colossians 3:10 Put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator. Colossians 3:14 Above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. 1 Peter 4:8 Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins. James 5:20 Whoever brings back a sinner from his wandering will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins. 1 Corinthians 9:22 To the weak I became weak, that I might win the weak. I have become all things to all people, that by all means I might save some. 1 Corinthians 9:19 For though I am free from all, I have made myself a servant to all, that I might win more of them. Matthew 20:26-28 Whoever would be great among you must be your servant, and whoever would be first among you must be your slave, even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many. Luke 22:27 For who is the greater, one who reclines at table or one who serves? Is it not the one who reclines at table? But I am among you as the one who serves. Luke 12:37 Blessed are those servants whom the master finds awake when he comes. Truly, I say to you, he will dress himself for service and have them recline at table, and he will come and serve them. 1 Corinthians 2:9 What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him John 14:20 In that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you.

Luke 21:36 Stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man. Ephesians 6:13-14 Take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, Matthew 26:41 Watch and pray that you may not enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. Revelation 16:15 Behold, I am coming like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays awake, keeping his garments on, that he may not go about naked and be seen exposed! 1 Corinthians 15:34 Wake up from your drunken stupor, as is right, and do not go on sinning. For some have no knowledge of God. I say this to your shame. 2 John 1:8 Watch yourselves, so that you may not lose what we have worked for, but may win a full reward. Colossians 2:8 See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ. Matthew 12:33 Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or make the tree bad and its fruit bad, for the tree is known by its fruit. James 4:8 Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Isaiah 55:7 let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, that he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. Luke 15:10 Just so, I tell you, there is joy before the angels of God over one sinner who repents. John 10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.

Yep, brother Pearl, children do have the tendency to come back to the one's that showed them that they were truly loved and will remember the teachings of their elders, and, on rare occasions, will look back and know, that, the little spanking, nothing to damage them, just enough to get their attention to what they did wrong, like the second or third time,,,,, let's their mistakes be for a lesson, not for abuse but for a little hard love,,,,,, their mother was bad for saying,,,,if you don't stop, I'll tell your daddy on you,,,, that's not a good thing to do to a child,,, making it's father out to be a monster to scare the children. But, the children are all grown up now,,, and my last grandson is my best buddy, next in line after Jesus Christ,of course.

Speaking of Jesus Christ,,,,did you know He took a big spanking for all of us, yes it was more than a spanking, but it taught us that the father of us all,had mucho love for His children, and so after our wasted youth,we returned to He who showed us that He still loved His child.
