Did this last night, great workout, a lot harder than it looks. Isolating muscle groups really tested stability.

Great stuff. However, I find that these exercises don't hit my key weakness of varus hip movement. And I think that's what is keeping me from faster punch turns, hockey stops, and better outside edge work. My left leg is weaker than my right. When I have my right leg forward, and set my left leg down perpendicular to do any of those mentioned moves, I barely have the strength and stability to keep it down. Any exercise recommendations specific to stregnthen varus hip movement for outside edgework?

should I do these after every osd workout? or when is it best to perform these exercises?
@hockeytraining3 жыл бұрын
If you're on OSD '21, the Elusive Edgework Formula is already automatically built into your programming so you don't need to worry about a thing 💪 -- In terms of "when" to perform it, you can just follow your workout sheets. To learn more, you can also check out the science behind it here: www.hockeytraining.com/mastering-edge-work/

How often do you recommend doing these exercises? Once a week? 3 times a week?
@hockeytraining3 жыл бұрын
I program them in on resistance training days throughout the off-season -- So they will be targeted 3-5x per week depending on the training phase 👍

AM is not a Great skater? And sids debateble…
@hockeytraining3 жыл бұрын
I think you're confusing top speed and edge work. Sid is the edge work OG and AM34 is so smooth.
@User-wt9jk3 жыл бұрын
@@hockeytraining yeah sids great on the edges but still wouldn’t consider him one of the top skaters, but like I said probably debatable. Don’t think I can agree on AM though 😅 so many better skaters than him

Gimmick. Do squats and shit.
@jsquared10134 ай бұрын
Squats are for power, these are for stabilizer muscles and ankles. Do both.
