Ribbon cables aren't inherently bad. Shitty ribbon cables are bad. If there is a problem with an existing product, and a better product comes along, then I will recommend the better product.

I´m just going to borrow this thread about T16 and asking for advice about my Taranis not mounting any drives when plugging in radio to USB. I was going to play Liftoff and my Taranis didnt work at first as a controller, of course I went wrong directtion and fiddle around in Zadig for updating drivers. Long story short. Joystick part works but now my drives doesnt appear and I cant use my OpenmTX app to work with my radio. What drives should I have installed for the bootloader so when I connect USB to radio myu drives and radio pop up?

Honestly, I already made it: the T16 series. The radios are nearly identical because they both run OpenTX and not too much has changed. All that's different is a few buttons are moved but other than that nearly everything is the same.

Yes. Unless you want to take the module out of the T16 and install it in the TX16S which I suspect you could do, but I wouldn't.

Yes. Pretty sure the ID of the radio module does not transfer. You could open it up and swap the module board.

ROFL! JB must have got hit in the back of head with a quad the day he made this video. In all fairness, the wackiness of radio switching activities that have been happening with quite a few people over the last year or shorter, probably has been enough to make people feel like a little evil psychotic. For me, I am just "jumping" over the whole Jumper series, going from FrSky Taranis X9D SE and straight to RM TX16S. 😎😈 This phase was coming, as radios had been fairly stagnant over the last several years, outside of a few notables like the XLite, and people topping out and settling into X9D's, QX7's, etc. New radio releases have quite wild of the last year. Lots of great choices.

I'm not taking the blame for anything. And if you watch my RadioMaster review you will see that I say, it's good on paper but nobody can know how reliable or well built it is so maybe people shouldn't jump on the 1st generation. So don't put stuff on me that I didn't say, when in fact I said exactly the opposite. Anyway WTF this video isn't promoting the radiomaster at all, just saying how to switch models. If you can't tell that this video is sarcastic when it's talking about "the best radio throw out your jumper" then I can't really help you. I even did the whole video in a stupid accent to cue you in that it's a joke.
