Hey thanks for this :-) I have a problem though... In premiere I have a poly wav, it shows up fine in Premiere but in Davinci only the first audio track shows the waveform and produces sound. All the other tracks show the clips but without the audio.

hi, how should I bring over nested sequences to be graded as well?
@ConnorHammond Жыл бұрын
Nice tutorial. Will only work for incredibly basic edits. My nests, frame holds, transitions and text boxes didn't transfer. Coupled with resizing and key-frame issues, you might as well redo most projects from scratch.

Also doesn't work if you have multiple sequences in the project it seems. or rather with Graphics like rectangles and others.

So this has worked for me in the past but I'm having issues now (PP '24 to davinci 18.6 Mac). I save the PP file as XML and when I add the timeline to the media pool Davinci can't find any of the video files but loads in the audio files attached to the video files. weird. I'm going to just import everything raw in Davinci, grade, and then move the whole edit to PP. If anyone is having similar issues let me know if you find a solution! Cheers!

What about subclips that have been named in Premiere? How to get those with names into Resolve? Thanks!!

if I have a linked comp to aep in premire, when I do the xml export davinci will unlink that clip. Since it´s a .aep clip I think it´s impossible to link it in Resolve.... So basically I should color correct first in davinci and after a export to premire so i con work with afterefects seamlesly?

my work flow has 24fp and 60fp in the timeline(adobe premier) and the clips that are 60fps are slowed down, when i did exactly you showed everything worked but the clips that are 60fps, its either choppy or the slow motion effect is off, however because of that, the clips is not where it supposed to start. how can I fix this??
@liveinspirephotography829111 ай бұрын
you might need to reedit those slow motion clips to start where you want them to

How do I switch between premier and da vinci to locate my media? I follow each of these steps and keep getting the 'Red no media' signs.
@TheGoodfolkFilmCo10 ай бұрын
yea but you didn't talk at all about the audio. All of those tracks got imported into davinci as separate mono audio clips to mono tracks 1.0

Is there any way to transfer an entire project from PP to DR? I mean all the timelines and media, not just a sequence. Thanks.
@groovygod25 ай бұрын
Yes this is what I need to do as well. I want to take a project from PP on one hard drive and move entire project to DR on another drive .. is this possible ?
@kenbarnessalisheye5465 ай бұрын
@@groovygod2 I found it is possible to get the project over with the media but no timelines. Just use the File>Export>Final Cut Pro XML then import it into DaVinci but not by choosing 'Timeline' rather File>Import>XML. You will then have to export each Timeline you want and import into Resolve one by one using Import>Timeline. It worked for me at least.... Your mileage may vary.
@groovygod25 ай бұрын
@@kenbarnessalisheye546 hmm so what are you saying is . Just use the File>Export>Final Cut Pro XML then import it into DaVinc." but .if you don't choose timeline it will just import the media .. and then do it again but this time do check Timeline and the project AND media will be on new hard drive ?
@kenbarnessalisheye5465 ай бұрын
@@groovygod2 Yes. That's correct. Once to get all the media without Sequences/Timelines. Then again (and again, etc.) for each sequence/timeline you might have. This way you are sure to get all the media first, then all the sequences you want.

Wil it transfer multicam sequences?
@kiaragauto36329 ай бұрын
XML does not support multicam sequences, sadly. You have to transfer them after you flatten them and modify on resolve.

Hi, and thanks for your good work! I just shelled out $712.00 to renew my Adobe Ransom. I know many of the companies went to a subscription model, but from someone that use to own a software development company, I just think the way they go about it is rotten. So I was trying to transition to Davinci Resolve (not real good at it yet but I love it) but couldn't pull the plug because of an issue with this migration workflow. I can only hope that it's my naivety and not a "feature", and I was hoping someone here might help... Thanks in advance. My projects in PP have many sequences, and some of them are built with nested sequences. I like that ability in PP, but therein lies my problem. Forget the nested sequences for now, a huge problem for me as I see it so far, is that when you export to an XML file, you are only exporting one sequence at a time, verses an entire project at one time , including many individual sequences. With 5 -15 sequences on average in each project, having to export each Sequence (timeline) individually is overly cumbersome, unless you have a lot of time to do that. I'm hoping that I am wrong and that i just haven't figured out the correct process, but any light that you can shed on the topic would be greatly appreciated. TY... Anthony

@liveinspirephotography8291 posted this comment a few months ago on here. In case you have missed it: "in the search section .. type sequence.. all the sequences should pop up including the nested sequences... select them all ... then export according to instructions... In Davinci create folders for each sequence you import .... there should be a dropdown menu under import timeline where you will choose the different sequences you exported ... boom ! u r welcome"
@DerZaubererFN7 ай бұрын
Update: Just tried and gave up. No idea how to export all sequences at once. I end up exporting each individual sequence separately. PP has crashed on me 4 times now after reinstalling for no reason. This project is the best reminder of why I want to stay as far away from PP as possible.

@JaredIsham11 ай бұрын
A little misleading - what you are refering to as the "project" is actually a "sequence" - If there was a way to convert the actual "Project" (*.prproj) that would be awesome. I have tons of Multicams and Project Build stuff I want to bring over for a new edit.
@DStudiosMedia11 ай бұрын
Woops, I did say project. You're correct it is a sequence. And unfortunately, as far as I know, there is no way to transfer an actual project. Maybe someone else knows.
