Let me explain my issue which I wish someone can help me solve it. My issue is at 3:42, when I am at the place on my new iPhone where I have to put a code, it tells me to go back to my old phone whatsapp to get the code, which I understood is that that is the way to transfer whataspp from old phone to new phone, not to transfer data, and I don't want that code. so I ask for an sms instead, when I do, I just don't receive one.

Quick question. I want to switch from my Android phone to iPhone. Got my iPhone 13 Mini today. WhatsApp is the latest version and I updated iOS as well. But now every time I click on "move data from Android" my iPhone loses connection to the Wifi. Yours does too for a brief moment but it comes back after entering the code. It doesn't for me, even though it's set up and works. I am really frustrated after trying for hours to make it work, I removed the simcard in order to prevent my phone from switching to cellular but it still doesn't work. :( Does anyone know a solution to this? I really need my chats, they're full of information I need...

Try turning off „auto connect to the best Wifi network“ in your android Wifi Settings. Out of any reason this worked for me. The iPhone kept the Wifi connection. I also changed both devices to a Wifi network that doesn’t automatically switch between 2.4 and 5 Ghz.

I’ve got my iPhone set up and running for awhile now, how do I just wanna bring my WhatsApp chats through? Do I backup all my current iPhone data to iCloud, then factory reset my iPhone then run the move to iOS once again? Can I then setup the reset iPhone with the backed up iCloud to have my data plus the WhatsApp chats? Please help and I can’t lose my chats, thanks in advance folks🥺

this process need to be reset the ipone completely. so u are better of using 3rd party apps to transfer the data without resestting ur iphone

Update: I got everything over and it’s all fine and well :D, if you have an older phone might need to wait a long while as there might be loads of data to prepare and transfer over. Took me near 10hrs lmaoo as my data were huge

It shows "something went wrong" at 40%. Tried twice but still persist. Have to wait for a few hours now to get log into my whatsapp account to try again. Anyone have any fix for this? Edit: I finally got it working on my third attempt. Not sure if it has anything to do with the error but I re-did the whole process on the 2.4ghz wifi band. The previous two errors happened on the 5ghz band. So to those who are trying to get this process done, if your wifi has two bands, use the 2.4ghz one on both your android and iphone for the whole process. Reducing the amount of chats also help I think. So be ready to let go some of the chats you have. All of these worked for me BUT I am *NOT SURE* if this is the definitive fix.

@@faizm.3292 not sure but I kept my sim on my android for the whole process and it worked fine. I transferred my sim after whatsapp on iphone is done importing my chats from android. Not really sure what’s the definitive fix here but maybe try like what I did?

@@nickho7584 factory reset the entire iPhone fresh and yeap just re do the whole process while being connected to the 2.4ghz wifi band. This worked for me, no guarantee it'll work for you. Let me know how it goes though.

I've been using my iPhone XS for a while now but without WhatsApp on it because I still had that on my Samsung S8, but with this app, it's been super easy to move the WhatsApp to iOS. Now the problem I have is that I had to back up my iPhone to iTunes, before resetting the iPhone to allow for WhatsApp transfer. Will restoring my iPhone backup from iTunes now that the WhatsApp is on the iPhone affect the newly transferred WhatsApp such that I might lose my chats altogether and have to start afresh? I would REALLY love a response. Thank you! 🙏🏾

backup your iphone, reset it. transfer whatsapp chat to iphone and make sure you backup to icloud specifically whatsapp only then reset your iphone again and restore from the original backup. whatsapp should be stored in icloud chat so you'll be safe

(I believe that the seller have subscribed to a transferring service that allows unlimited transfers, and they are sharing the access to people who buy their service through shopee) The whole process took about an hour or 2 hours? not too sure, i've forgot hahah but yeah, that was the only solution i found. Quite safe i would say, i see many good reviews and my phone has not been hacked or have any issues since.
