This inspired me to build my own fence with no experience at all - I took this style and used gravel boards onto posts rather than cladding a wall. Looks ace! Was worried it would be too heavy but it was fine. Thanks for great vids

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I have an old concrete block wall and had the idea of cladding with a fence. I was simply going to row my fencing vertically, but after watching your video, I will definitely be doing them horizontally! I've watched a few of your videos now, and you've definitely gained a new subscriber in me! Thanks for the great, informative, but relaxed content.

Just came across your video whilst looking at methods on covering walls with wood (got a silly short wall with lots of rocks jutting in and out). Love your approach and your personal touches. Subscribed and will watch a few more. Wish my wall was block....Going to be LOTS of packing.

Great video. I’ve noticed that wall in your videos for ages and wondered why you hadn’t touched it, and assumed we’d eventually find out why. It’s looking really elegant now with the boards, and you’ve given me more ideas for one of my boundary fences. Thanks.

Tim that looks ace! I have an old brick wall in my garden like that , standing around 5ft high and 5 meters long which would benefit from this if it hadn’t broke its back at foundation level.... unfortunately it has to come down when our little one (due in May) starts walking as it’s dangerous. But who knows maybe I’ll build it back in blocks and clad it the same. Looks fantastic! And totally transforms the look of that area! 👌👍

Good job. Great improvement obviously. Maybe overkill but could have run a strip of dpc behind each vertical batton to stop any damp from the old block wall. Definitely would have run low voltage cables for embedded led lighting switched from the house too...

Fantastic Job! Got a similar job ahead of me but the wall is the same height all the way along. It’s about 1.4 m tall to cover and a long 30 m long 😢 😂 Retaining wall so plaster all blew off it and plasterer said it will just happen again as it’s full of damp with soil behind it
