WHAT to do? Our MinnKota Ulterra 112lbs stuck upside down (vertical) with the inside the ramp on full stow - we tried to pushed it so that it can be un-stuck but it doesn't move and can't be move - need help - thanks

Regardless of warranty, what are the three top interval issues that cab occur? Sending my unit off is not an option

My cam sensor was stuck. There was corrosion on the metal sleeve/bushing and that was binding the cam lever. It almost looks like the chrome finish was peeling off and that was jamming up the lever in the deploy position. I temporarily sanded it smooth and greased it until the replacement part comes in (ordered). But I sure hope minn kota updates this sleeve to a stainless or other material...since the coating that is on it will interact with salt and appears to flake off...as that is what appears to have happened to mine.

My stow sensor seems to be malfunctioning. When I stow, it stops on the rest and has a red status light that won’t go off. If I take the motor rest off that has the actuator button, the red light goes off, and it allows me to deploy (and stow, but I have to manually depress the button to stop it). Any suggestions on what I need to do or replace? It seems like the red light should light when the actuator stops the stow procedure, but then go of so the motor is ready to deploy. Is there a way to reset it?

@@jamesskoruppa8317 EXACTLY!!! That’s what it was. I’d forgotten, but I knew it was too easy. I think they need to embolden this in the trouble shooting somewhere. It’s very obvious, yes, but for those of us who”over 45’s”, we’re used to “click on, click off”. Double clicking, isn’t intuitive to us, and if it’s been more than 6 weeks since you used it, that just is t something we’re going to remember right off. Thats going to lead to a lot of wasted time troubleshooting something like I’m sure both of us did. Like I said, it was something embarrassingly simple, and yet…..not!

Mine lately even after a reset goes straight up and jams under the main unit. Scary cause sounds like it's trying to keep going. Doing hardware reset doesn't help but as long as I don't stow everything works. Even changed trim motor and new belt but started doing same thing week later. No idea what to do

It's 2022 now, have you (Minn Kota) fixed the deployment problem on all units being sold now? Yes/No?

Mines 2021 and ive had for a year now. Not 1 problem until last week.

All I know is I'm pissed that I spent thousands of dollars for a piece of crap I can't depend on and it cost a fortune every time I take it in for repair with hardly any use never again.

Just purchased my ulterra this April 2024.. apparently the issues are not resolved as this will be the 2nd time I’ve had to take mine in for issues!! I am highly pissed with th amount of $$$ I’ve spent on junk!! Had 25 year old motor guide I took off the boat for the new ulterra, boy was I stupid!! Never again, I am done with minn kota!!

I have brand new unit. The red light it staying on. Even when it deploys and stows.
