I've only worked with recorded vocals once, but I ended up using an automation clip on the global pitch knob to make small tweaks at extremely short intervals. It was... tedious, to say the least. But it looks like this plugin will make that process much more manageable - I'm excited to try it! Again, thanks for all the wonderful lessons. Thanks for the kind words! That sounds so rough automating the pitch manually, usually if something is very tedious in audio work there is a better way. The trouble is knowing or finding what it is!

Consider just buying the perpetual license for MetaTune if you don't want the entire Slate subscription. Of course, if you DO want to pay the subscription for all the other stuff it comes with, that's up to you. Just wanted to let you know you can buy MetaTune by itself in a one-time payment

If you buy the Access Pass, you get access to EVERYTHING that Slate Digital makes (synths, samplers, compressors, EQs, stereo imagers, reverbs, SSL emu plugins, vocal strips, etc) and you get the full version. But for this, you pay every month. Since the price is like $10/month for dozens of plugins, it's meant to look like a more attractive offer. Personally, I don't like subscription services at all. They seem like they're cheaper at first, but you end up paying more in the long run and you don't own a copy of any of the plugins. I think rent-to-own is a better model than monthly/yearly subscriptions, but of course, up-front onetime purchase will always be best.

When I use this plugin in FL Studio 20 newwest version the GUI has a weird glitch in it where I can't see all the parameters. Any idea of how to fix this? Already uninstalled and reinstalled. The only way i've got it to work is to use it in bridged mode but then it doesn't save the settings when I open the project again (in bridged mode) smh.

just use it in chromatic scale. it means that vocals will be corrected to any of the semitones. using the chromatic scale is also safer in vocals containing portamento

why not link all the vocal channels to one channel with meta tune if you want to use the same setting for all the backing vocals ? someone please explain

Great question! I’ll try my best to answer. There is no right or wrong way to do it. However, it’s quite common for backing vocals to be singing harmonies which would require a new instance of a tuning plugin. The plugin can only correct to one note at a time. Secondly, it can often sound better if the backing vocals have a different tuning speed and intensity. This can often create either more realism, more width or just a better sound! Please experiment and hear what sounds best for your song. If anyone ever tells you that there’s only one way to so something, take it with a pinch of salt!
