Just watched the full video…didn’t learn a single thing.

It's a preview, not a class.

@@BotanicalBasillol right. Like I said, I went ahead and watched the full video. It was a waste of time.

You know, I honestly thought I was the only one. I thought I just had to rewatch it again and again but it helps to see that the class just doesn't have the content it needs, or I'd expected to have.

How to tune a pa... Use this software but I'm not going to show you how to use it. Appreciate you have experience tuning pa but I've not learnt anything how to tune a pa apart from the software you use

okay so basically the easiest way you can do it is (with an M32 console which is the most popular) step 1: measure the room. no need for software you can either use your ears if they're well trained or an RTA app on your phone where you play a good mix (my recommendation: Lenny Kravitz - American Woman) and look at the graph. step 2: EQ the outputs for the speakers to make the track sound good and the RTA to look somewhat like pink noise. this is very simple and basic, through the years you'll gain experience and you'll do better.

the most important thing about EQing speakers is getting rid of specific frequencies sounding louder than others in the room, which will completely ruin the sound. and of course, through the console you can also set the crossover point between the satellites/subs

All I learned was if I'm not a gear snob with a 10K processor that only 1% of our industry can afford with Meyer gear I can't possibly tune a system I guess I'll just quit FFS

I wish I could afford a $4000 wireless system. I wish I could afford a $4000 DSP. For the wireless that’s $4k per mic. If you want multiple measurements, that’s a lot of one dollar bills.
