I'm building the LFX 3.6 V6 engine for a fwd application (the 3.6 has been in fwd cars for a while) with a 6spd manual transmission. Actually putting it in a cruze, someone has done it before but not like a fully built engine pushing over 350. Machine shop has engine.

Pretty nice man. I have a 2012 cts coupe with a LFX I just boosted too did a front mount similar to yours just different routing. I ended up losing one a/c line also going to have a custom one order you can get online btw. I’m still tuning on 5psi ebay gt45 but man it rips. I can’t wait to see yours finished, what boost & numbers are you trying to hit initially? Stock fuel system?
@nascam38 Жыл бұрын
That’s good to hear honestly, I’m glad other LFXs out there are ripping 💪. I also just want 5psi for right now, going on a road trip so I want to be careful. But after, I’ll want to go 10 psi, upgrade fuel pump and injectors and so on. As of right now, yea stock fuel system.

@@nascam38 I just added e85 but other than that it’s stock fuel system. Best of luck man. It’s totally worth the work & time required. Very good looking build!

Thanks 💪, new videos coming soon, and new products for the V6

Thanks for the vid. Are you still able to use regular fuel with this or do you have to use premium gas?
@nascam3810 ай бұрын
it is a very bad idea to run regular fuel Forced Induction. You want to run premium, or go how I went. E85, more power, cheaper than pump gas and less chance of your motor blowing up.

I was in the same boat, that’s why I put this video out when I figured out how to do this. A more detailed video will come out soon, so stay on the look out for that.

I think there is a supercharger or something of that nature now I’ve seen for the LFX.
@gittyupalice962 ай бұрын
the supercharger by itself cost the same as an LS3 V8... Thats the problem with the LFX, you can get about 380hp out of it for less than $500, BUT anywhere north of 400hp is going to cost more than an LS3, rendering it pointless. Its a great engine, just would have to want it just to want it.
@josephcarson6099 Жыл бұрын
roughly how much would you say it cost you to mod the turbo on it?
@nascam38 Жыл бұрын
In total it was around 6k, could be a little less if you don't buy the vacuum pump for the AC lines, you can take to a shop to do it for free. And if you don't buy a new power steering pump with the pulley and the tools.

@@nascam38 Alright thank you, i can do the labor for free so that should save some money

@nascam3811 ай бұрын
You talking about a different engine and a different turbo setup, I can’t help you with that
@Panther_RS11 ай бұрын
@@nascam38 they are very similar motors tbh

How much Hp can Lfx handle.
@nascam38 Жыл бұрын
The block hasn't been tested at its limits but I've heard LFXs hitting 700s and 800s. You would need to upgrade the pistons at around 500 though
