Awesome video! I loved the step-by-step instructions via the links. It made it easy to follow. I struggled a little bit because I use a Google Pixel 5 and it's marked as not compatible but all I had to do was add the amiibo files to a USB drive and plug that into my phone, save to downloads and boom, it worked!

Awesome video!!! This can also be used to "restore" or fix problems with NFC cards if done correctly! I was able to fix a Snake NFC card in a 94 pc set that could not be used & gave the error "This is not an amiibo" when read on Wii U/3DS/Switch.

Great tutorial thanks!!! I used NFC tags from amazon and the Android instructions. The only trouble I had is that the app would crash every time I tried to load a tag. To fix this I went into settings and turned off Enable Amiibo File Browser. It means I have to do a little more searching for the Amiibo I want, but everything else works great!

hi! im having a problem. when i try to rewrite a tag using tagmo, it tells me to use the restore tag button. I do that it and it looks to have loaded the new data on the tag, but when I scan the same NFC tag again to check to make sure the new data is on there, the old data comes up. how do I rewrite tags?

No it doesn't work like that. As far as they know it's a real amiibo which is why it even works. If they could tell the difference then it wouldn't let you use it as an amiibo. As long as you aren't making and selling them then there is no issue

some of them, if you follow the steps directly it should work unless its a bound/encrypted chip, in that case you wouldn't be able to override the data already on the chip. id try the chips if you have them but probably don't buy one incase its not one that works, (sorry im not aware of the specifications on how to buy one)

No that’s not possible. Once you put data on a card it can’t be removed.

I need some help, I got everything installed without a hitch, and my phones are nfc compatible, (Moto g stylus and moto g9 play) but it says that neither are detecting nfc compatibility. Create a Folder for you Amiibos and Select it and it is important for the NFC tag to be N215

Unfortunately paper wont cut it, you need any type of NFC card, so you can either go out and buy "blank NFC cards" or use like an old starbucks card etc. just be sure not to overwrite some important card like a credit card

The nintendo nfc readers can only read data from cards. Not sure what the difference is but the switch can differentiate between a phone and a card
